So on a very fine day, i was still sleeping. And got a wake up call from Her, my one and only SweetHeart ChellaKutty Sayang. She was like " Can we go for Banana Leaf meal for lunch today.. I'm craving for it." And I agreed ( coz she's my girl). So we were driving driving and keep driving looking for best banana leaf indian restaurant. And suddenly this restaurant came to mind ( my younger bro brought our family here before). And yeah I was like why dont we have our lunch here. The restaurant was freakin full.. Saturday..lunch time.. but the waiter still managed to get table for both of us. We sat and we were being serve immediately. The leaf, all the items were placed gracefully. Although it was quite packed and the waiter is running here and there, but there is no delay at all In service. That's the best part. The waiter was friendly and entertained all our requests heartily. We ordered extra food which is the black pepper chicken, and not forgetting her favourite deep fried fish and indian style tauhu sambal. The food is super delicious and we were enjoying every feed ( she kept smiling everytime) and I was really happy and flying high whenever I see the smile on her face. She really enjoyed each bite and to my surprise the leaf was super clean without any leftover. ( usually I finished up her food too.heheh) . No any of our meal or date complete without coffee ( we are both coffee addicts). She ordered her favourite Bru with fresh milk and for myself Black Bru coffee . I tasted her coffee. It was perfectly blend. The bitterness and the creamy fresh milk just were perfectly mixed. We really had a great time and great meal together. Just love to see the smile on her face all the time. Anyway definitely will be back here again for the delicious food and for the...
Read moreedit: my most recent visit here has changed my opinion of this place. served us late and served spoiled sambar. when questioned, they denied it and said it was fresh even though the smell was strong and already had those lil bubbles u see on spoiled food. they replaced our sambar carrier with another one. but still rotated the spoiled one to other tables. which is is just downright bad. the chicken was not that nice. fried fish was ok. veges were not good either. bad experience. will not return and will not recommend.
2 years back: Food comes in small portions but tastes good. Only one thing I wasn't happy with is the varuval chicken. It looked like chicken that was taken out of the fridge, heated up just a little and packed to send because you can see bits of frozen oil/curry on the chicken. Otherwise, veges and...
Read moreFirst of all, the food was horrible. I ate some roti canai at this place and i regreted it, the roti canai was cold and not well cooked. Whats even worse is that the curry was just bland with no taste. I tried the dhal and also the chicken curry and both of them tasted bad. They also didnt have sambal. At this point i was very disapointed. And the WORST of them all is that one of the workers that i asked help from was very rude. All i did was ask him where was the chicken curry and he acted as if i was pissing him off or disturbing him but clearly i did not. The only good thing about this place was the coffee was good and the place was clean and well kept. All and all, i would not recommend this place for any of you guys out there, there is better restaurants just...
