#HAPPENED at Grandmama, Pavilion KL Bkt Bintang#
Jeni, one of the waitresses or assistant manager or etc
very rude attitude towards customer !
we, five adults + 1 infant (5-month-old)
informed her that we need a larger round table to fit in the stroller (to place at the side, corner), due to we are a medium size family dine in
she replied that her restaurant SOP is not allowed stroller to 'park in' the cafe and 'have to' place it at outside of the cafe, so shall my baby to be arranged a baby chair for me
a restaurant staff whom is so making sense by asking such question ?! customer not allowed to place the stroller inside the cafe and how do the customer dine in then ??
is this a common sense question out from a cafe / restaurant staff which stroller unable to place at the seat and must put outside, since the restaurant is only allow baby chair ???
and this baby is an infant not a toddler ! is she can sit in the baby chair ???
THIS is what I heard first time ~ stroller cant place beside the table when there is an infant baby !!! so, the diner have to hand carry the baby and eat ???
ALRIGHT, IF SO, WHY do I witnessed another table of customers were putting the stroller beside the table and the TODDLER was sitting on the adult chair ???
Is GRANDMAMA to be taught to treat each customer unfairly and unjustly ??? infant baby CANT bring in stroller to place the baby toddler CAN place the stroller at the side of the table and the toddler sitting on an adult chair ????? (photo is reserved as a...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. The nasi lemak, which is usually a highlight of any Malaysian meal, was far from enjoyable. The rice was bland and lacked the rich coconut flavor that makes nasi lemak special. The sambal was too watery and lacked the spicy kick and depth of flavor that I was hoping for.
The ayam berempah was another letdown. The chicken was dry, and the seasoning didn’t do much to enhance the taste. It was as if the spices were just sprinkled on top rather than being properly marinated and cooked into the chicken. The dish lacked the fragrant and aromatic qualities that make ayam berempah so popular.
The nasi goreng was equally disappointing. It was underseasoned and tasted quite plain, as if it had just been thrown together without much care or attention to flavor. The telur omelet was also a miss—overcooked and rubbery, with no real taste to speak of. It was a shame because a simple dish like an omelet should at least be executed well.
Finally, the kuey teow goreng, which I usually enjoy, was the worst of all. It was greasy and lacked the smoky, charred flavor that makes kuey teow goreng delicious. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, and the seasoning was almost nonexistent.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was a major letdown. The food was consistently disappointing across the board, with none of the dishes meeting even basic expectations. I would not recommend dining here if you’re looking for a flavorful and...
Read moreI usually don't write reviews, but my recent experience at Grandmama's Restaurant compelled me to share my concerns. I was utterly disappointed with the level of inconsideration and lack of safety awareness displayed by the staff during my visit. Here's what happened:
Safety Concerns: On four separate occasions, the waitstaff carelessly passed meals directly over my baby's head. This is not only dangerous but also a basic service no-no.
Lack of Professionalism: Despite the restaurant's charming ambiance, the staff's disregard for the safety of little diners was alarming. It seemed as though they were not properly trained or simply indifferent to the potential hazards.
No Acknowledgment of Mistake: After the first incident, I would have expected the staff to be more cautious. However, it happened repeatedly, and not once did anyone acknowledge the oversight.
Customer Service: A good restaurant experience is not just about the food but also how customers are treated. In this case, the staff's behavior overshadowed the quality of the meal.
I am a firm believer in constructive criticism, so I hope Grandmama's takes this feedback seriously and improves their staff training, especially in regards to safety around children. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to families or anyone who values a safe dining...
