GRIZZLY — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Wanted an iced caramel latte but only saw hot one on the menu. Asked the girl at the cashier if they have iced latte, she just nodded with a sour face. Anyway, I ordered it thinking I’ll be getting an iced latte together with a carrot cake for takeaway. Later realised, she gave me a hot latte!

For the takeaway paper bag, instead of just folding the top, she stapled it with many staples! Didn’t you all get the memo on banning use of staples to pack food? It happened too fast and I was rushing, so I just walked out with my order.

Halfway through walking, I noticed my latte was dripping on the floor. I opened to see half the latte spilled on my carrot cake! The cover doesn’t fit the cup at all. How difficult is it to get the right packaging? The latte kept spilling through the paper bag while I was inside the MRT!

The latte was bland & diluted! No appetite to eat my latte soaked carrot cake!!...

Service: No issues ordered after asking some questions about what's best and no issues there.

Atmosphere: great little cool spot, chill atmosphere.

Food and drink: I will start with the good stuff... the coffee. It was a very delicious mocha with lots flavors I really enjoyed it, it's not cheap tho so its best just to avoid paying the same price for your food in my opinion.

Food: I ordered the smashed avo and eggs with chives. The bread is just ok if I'm honest not bad not good. The eggs had shells still left in the sandwich which I haven't experienced fot a while in a restaurant, just not really good at all. Then there was the avocado......I did a deep investigation to try find some and sat there confused if I somehow ordered a sandwich without avocado.

Anyhow overall I won't be returning to this establishment any time soon. Just do the simple things right and your customers...

The best 8oz flat white I've had in Malaysia. Undoubtedly the best toastie I've had in the last year, and a strong contender for lifetime top toastie. Had the chicken avo grilled cheese with wasabi mayo. Every element was perfectly executed. The shredded roast chicken marries up beautifully with the consistency of the cheese, avo and wasabi mayo. Bread was decent and toasted to perfection. It can be a messy eat due to the ingredients, but it is possible to eat with minimal spillage due to the expert presentation.

This is my third visit, but will have to come back for more toasted goodness.

The guys here make you feel at home and clearly have a passion for producing high quality food and drink.
