It was opened back in 2019 during the inception of the pandemic. Back then they have a promo for RM4 dimsum and RM10 for an individual meal. The place is spacious to organise a wedding reception, casual gatherings or family dinners with a decent ambiance. If you’re looking for a no-frills, authentic seafood meal might find this spot appealing. Now they have a limited promo of RM5 for dim sum and value set lunch from RM99 to RM268 nett, depending on the number of pax. At RM5, despite being smaller in size but nothing you can complain about especially in such a setting. Of course, you can’t compare with the likes of Oriental Group of Restaurants or Grand Imperial. Hopefully, the promotion can last as long as possible and I’m going to be the grand prize winner of the Perodua Bezza . As for parking, it is never a problem but then during weekends u need to park as far to KFC nearby P/S: However, lately even during the quiet weekdays, the dim sum selections are always not available, almost 80%. Maybe, they are now catering more for the Chinese tourists. Hope the management could ensure the continuous replenishment of dimsum up to 1pm. Else, it will create many dissatisfactions amongst Malaysians, as we love to eat dim sum around the clock

Restaurant entrance is very weird, a huge sense of feng shui induced forcefully renovated which makes the entry into the premise very unpleasant. The interior hasn't been carefully renovated with some worn areas and a slightly unpleasant feel. But upon entering the dining area it's quite impressive with ample space and comfortable seats. Food wise the dim sum here is quite unique with their own signature dishes. Flavour side they didn't use much sugar but more focus on the saltiness side which shows signs of traditional Cantonese style of flavours. The dining tables are widely spaced where diners need not to shout to talk and waiters are sufficient to serve every diner in time. Dining here is very relaxing as one need not to rush in dining since there are nearly 40 tables and unlike any other dim restaurants, one needs to wait patiently for seats and rush in dining. Overall this place deserves a big clap in dining experience and food quality and hope they will maintain their integrity in service for years to come.

New purpose built Chinese restaurant along Jalan Kuchai Lama. I went there for dim sum lunch. Prices are slightly premium from Rm8 onwards but worth it as the ingredients are fresh and premium too. All tables are seated for 10pax banquet style. Noticed the tables are distanced out to observe current dine in SOP. Food quality is above average. We liked the dim sum as the fillings are generous and ingredients especially prawns are fresh. Cheong fun is not my favourite but still good. Hi I think they can improve with waiting time. We waited for more than 15mins for our dim sum to be served. And we also feel they shouldn’t serve all our orders at one go. So some dim sum had gone a bit cold by the time we dug in. Customer service is friendly and helpful. Most customers today were families or friends dining out. Mostly about 5 pax per table. They also cater for events such as weddings and they have VIP rooms for groups. Definitely will return to try other ala carte dishes.

Visit Date: 20/5/25 at 12:00 noon

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service we received during our recent visit. Despite booking a table a week in advance, we arrived to find a major event taking place, with most of the premises closed off to the public. Only a small section with 6 or 7 tables was available—an unacceptable situation for paying customers with confirmed reservations.

What made the experience even more upsetting was the appalling behavior of the staff. We were met by a rude and dismissive Captain who, instead of acknowledging our reservation, snapped at us to wait and walked away abruptly. When she finally returned, she insisted we share a table with strangers, completely disregarding our prior booking.

When we questioned why a walk-in customer was given a table while we, with a confirmed reservation, were treated this way, her response was shockingly arrogant. And when I pointed out that she could at least speak politely, she replied, “That’s the way I speak.” Frankly, that kind of attitude has no place in customer service.

To the Management: This was not just poor service—it was downright disrespectful. Staff who behave this way are not just failing to meet hospitality standards, they actively damage your establishment’s reputation. I strongly urge you to retrain your staff in basic manners and evaluate whether individuals with such toxic attitudes should be employed at all. Rudeness and arrogance have no place in your team.

We left the restaurant feeling insulted, ignored, and extremely disappointed. Needless to say, we will not be returning—and we will advise others to do the same unless serious...

Environment wise is good, comfy with chilling air-cond. Dimsum taste is good, above standard, tasty and unique. Slightly pricey but they bill without any tax, so it balanced back.

Anyway it takes 1 hour to served all dimsum, slow until it serve plate by plate like 10 course meal set, the second dimsum will serve after you finish the first plate. Simply change your drink as well if the drink you ordered sold out. Tried to feedback to the lady captain for the service, but instead she told us "Kitchen slow, what can we do?"

Will definitely come back for the delicious dimsum, but surely after they improved their service level.

Just to update after second visit after 1 month

Dimsum took 1.5 hours to start serving, all the part timer has no idea what is going on. Waved to ask the captain after waiting for 1 hour, the first question that the captain asked was "Oh you all ready to order? I will come and take your order in a while"

Will not visit anymore even the dimsum is good. Just dropped from two stars to one. Very bad experience in this restaurant.

HJ has a huge improvement this year, service level is way better and food is good. Raise to 4 stars from 1 star for this...
