Hot Pot King Steamboat & Grill — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Went last night and it was a decent experience. Food variety is okay. My only desire is the mutton honestly and I get to eat that as much as I want so yeah. Though the mutton only have 1 marinated option and the marinate is a bit too sweet. Chicken and beef got some varieties. They do refill the mutton but before our last eating session I went to get the mutton again but they already refill with beef instead. Not sure why so kinda disappointed I don't get more mutton 😂 The water got few varieties but all are like more sugars than the actual taste. Even the "sour plum" tasted more sugar than the actual sour plum. Not sour at all lol. But drinks are drinks so I don't really care much. Choices of stuff for steamboat is decent. I don't eat seafood so can't comment on that part. Chicken, meat all taste good. Meat aren't liat at all. Oh yea the mutton are with bones so can take a bit of a hard time to eat. Some when you fried you mostly only got the bones lol. Isi so little. Veggies got varieties also. Only took bunch of the thin mushrooms cause I really like that hahah. Soup got 2 choices which are chicken soup and tomyam. I chose tomyam and for me the taste is good. It's sour and got the tomyam taste. I guess it's because of most of the marinate are sweet, even the drinks are sweet, I need that sour taste just to throw off that too much of sugary taste. Sauces got a bunch also but I only took the bbq sauce. They got melted butter if you like that. Price is really reasonable. 2 people are around rm66 something. Only weekend the price up a bit, rm35.99. Other than that it was like usual steamboat experience I had with other places. Not too bad not too good. Just okay. For the price I'd still recommend. The service was very very bad. Manager of the restaurant was very rude. Firstly, while we, customers were at the shop, eating, they were wiping the fans, switched off the lights and fans without respecting our existence. So we arrived at the shop at 2pm on a Thursday and was at the cashier at 4.45pm. According to the menu and price pasted outside of the shop, it was written as RM29.80 from 1pm-5pm however after finishing our meal, when we were about to pay, the cashier told us it was RM35 because it's Bulan Ramadan so it's more expensive. Padahal there were no any notice stating that. When we called the manager to enquire about it, he spoke rudely and cut the call off halfway when we were still speaking. Then, when we were dealing with the cashier, the manager contacted the cashier using a walkie talkie and asked "Orang India semua tu dah bayar kah?". The manager refered us the customers as "Orang India tu". After a prolonged argument, finally the cashier agreed and when we were about to leave, the cashier told "Jangan datang lagi". the worst service ever!. we went there about 16 or 17 in group.at the time when we entered the place no one welcomed us and few of the employees give us that one cold look as if we are not welcomed !.they stared at us. while we were eating we requested for prawns and they give it to us as if we are not paying for the food. we can notice that they not really happy with our presence there! once all done we went to pay the bill here comes the twist ! they suppose to charge us per person RM 31++ but than they charged us per person rm 33.75. so we asked them why there is different by 2 ringgit and they give a stupid answer saying that we have been charges for PRE PUBLIC HOLIDAY! which is so surprising and it doesn't make sense at all. since when we malaysian charged others for PRE PUBLIC HOLIDAY. no of us have heard about this. any they still can argue to us very rudely.! this is the last time i gonna visit this place and i not gonna recommend this place to others!
