The service was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness. Our server was not only polite and efficient but also possessed an impressive knowledge of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations and answering our questions with expertise. The pacing of the meal was impeccable, with each course arriving at just the right time. The team’s dedication to providing a flawless dining experience was evident, and their ability to handle special requests with grace and precision added a personal touch to the service. Special mentions to Mr Heshan,Mr.Sujan,Mr Rajesh and kudos for the whole team and the management.
Coming to the food, The culinary experience was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was crafted with precision, showcasing the complexity and depth of Indian cuisine. We began with a selection of appetizers that set the stage for an extraordinary meal. The chicken tikka were equally impressive, featuring tender chicken pieces in a delicate, spiced marination served with a refreshing mint chutney.
For the main course, we indulged in a variety of dishes. The butter chicken was a standout – the chicken was tender and bathed in a rich, creamy sauce. The paneer tikka masala was another highlight, with the paneer cubes marinated to perfection, then smothered in a flavorful, aromatic gravy. The garlic naan and basmati rice were the ideal accompaniments, with the naan being light and fluffy, and the rice fragrant and perfectly cooked.
To round off the meal, we enjoyed the gulab jamun, a classic Indian dessert. The dessert was a delightful finale, with each bite offering a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor, enveloped in a delicately spiced syrup.
In summary, India Gate Restaurant excels in delivering a refined and memorable dining experience. The combination of its elegant ambiance, exceptional service, and superbly executed dishes makes it a standout choice for anyone seeking authentic and high-quality Indian cuisine. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their exquisite menu...

Mixed Tandoori Platter was a total disappointment with full consensus around the table of 8. Dry and tasted like stale meat that was cooked and kept in the freezer only to be reheated to serve. As a matter of fact, the food didn’t anrrive hot actually.
Chicken was dry. Fish was dry. Prawn was rubbery. Mixed whatever lamb and chicken or fish meat sausage was dry. Absolute surprise because the platter was the first thing recommended on the menu. Apart from this total tandoori let down, the other dishes were wonderfully seasoned and tasty.
The lamb shank was spiced nicely. While tender, it was not tender enough. The lamb shank also came along with two bowls of rice - white rice and plain briyani rice. Yet when I ordered another portion of briyani rice, I wasn’t warned by the captain that it probably was too much rice as there were other carbs ordered as well.
The naan bread truly resembles how you will get it at an authentic Indian restaurant but the portion was too little for the price paid. It is after all just flour.
All in all a fair outing. Parking is scarce around the vicinity but plenty of other options to choose from. Booking is recommended as it...

We ordered quite a bit. Chicken briyani, plain naan, keema matar & a brinjal dish. Food took a while to come but was expected as peak weekend lunch time. Tender chicken surrounded by fragrant & flavorful basmati rice. Went well with their raita. The naan was average but the keema was really nice. Spicy, meaty & goes well with naan. Brinjal dish was something new & it was really good. Helped tone down the spiciness of the keema.
Complimentary water provided but we shared a mango lassi. This was outstanding. Thick, not too sweet & full of mango flavor. We got greedy & also ordered their royal mango falooda for dessert. Lucky we did as it was the highlight of our meal. Layers of yummy goodness. Rich, thick & packed with flavor. We were so stuffed when we were done.
Overall we loved our meal. India Gate regardless of branch consistently delivers. Definitely...
