The ribs were good, but not my style. I like the meat easily comes off the bones. I also like them more moist inside and outside. The pork chop is juicy and not over cooked. However, it is not wrapped in bacon as stated on the menu. There are only 2 slices served on the top. Also, the menu states that is served with apple compote, which is like a jam to me, but there were only 2 slices of apple on the top. Granted that I liked it, if really wrapped with baked and apple compote, it would be a winner. I used to something similar pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and pears. The Mack and cheese with bacon is very good and cream, but it is not baked. It tastes more like a nice creamy Alfredo sauce. I need to lower my rating after trying the pork schnitzel and the saya sage appetizer. They just need to find another chef that doesn’t overcook the meat to the point that it’s dry and hard like a shoe sole.

Celebrated a birthday here. Nice comfortable gastrobar. Typical British pub decor. Friendly & attentive service. Prices are okay for what you get. Parking is reasonable depending on time of day. Nice quieter side of Bangsar. We tried 2 types of pork chops, fish & chips & fish pie. The chops were huge & well cooked. Accompanying sides were yummy too. Fish & chips just like in UK. Thick cuts & light batter. Went well with their tartar sauce. Fish pie was interesting. Warm & comforting. We washed it all down with cold beers & stout. Overall a great meal. Will surely return.

Decent service. Cosy ambience although the room was slightly warm. Food was served without too much delay. House salad was so so. The baby back ribs was good, potato chips were delightful but the coleslaw was disappointing. The pastry of the chicken mushroom and leek pie was excellent although the taste of the filling was just off as the chicken was dry. The duck breast pasta was ok but the duck breast was overcooked. The creme brulee had to be returned for a second one as the top glaze was just too hard. All in average dining experience.

We had some wine. So the prices were to be expected.

But as someone who’s been here before it was disappointing when the faggots(English dumplings wrapped in caul) came out dry (inexcusable)and without onions in the gravy tho to be fair that’s a personal preference. And there was barely enough gravy to cover one let alone 4 flat discs. Faggots are traditionally round and not shaped like mini burgers.

The steamed ginger pudding with custard was ice cold like it had just come out from the freezer and when I speared it with a fork it kinda just stuck on it. I tested the tunes of a fork and crystals of ice were still glittering on them.

The supervisor told us that the supplier who is gravy baby told them to microwave it for 1 min. After I sent it back he did just that and it came out luke warm.

Steamed puddings are meant to be served piping hot with steam coming off them. It was sad. After rejecting it a 2nd time the waitress told us she hadn’t charged us for it. I felt it was a bit weird to say it considering it was just dismal and it hadn’t even been touched it was so inedible.

Service was generally ok. But I’ve had...

Went there months ago for brunch. Food did not measure up to the likes of Antipodean and Yeast nearby given the same price tag.

Overall ambience was good, until the electricity went out in the middle of our meal. To add on, the waiters/staff in the restaurant did nothing to reassure the customers.

Needless to say, service was lousy. I assure you that the service at mamak stalls are on par, if not better.

The staff who took our order was unfriendly and sarcastic. To illustrate, we had enquired if tomatoes that comes with a particular dish could be swapped with mushrooms. We were met with cynical comments and no alternative suggestions.

Also noted that there seems to be a preference over skin color in this restaurant. In particular, Caucasian expats seem to get exceptional service from the same waiter/staff who served us.

To the owners, staff and waiters of Jarrod & Rawlins: Buckle up. You are not the only brunch place/cafe in KL. Stop treating your local customers like second...

Attention to Service n/a Clearly no training. Manager doesn't know how to manage. Bosses clearly trying to save by reducing clalibre of staff... Good idea. Pay peanuts get monkeys attract other monkies who only eat peanuts..... At least we don't pay much... Or do we?! Why do we keep tolerating this level of service. The above is 2 stars, one for me for not doing anything about it whilst siting on the toilet now ranting... And one star for the genius behind this business model. Clearly one of the clever monkeys and certainly not making peanuts... What we call a successful businessman.... One who cons so well not giving any care to his patrons who have made him what he is. Still I'd rather be looking kacang with a load of monkeys than cheating and exploring for my own selfish wants. Wake up. Or society will.... There is still time. Never too late. But continue and us lot will make sure every oen stepping in knows...
