Keong Kee Restaurant is a hidden gem for traditional Chinese herbal soups. Prices are very affordable, and it’s clearly a well-loved local spot with a long heritage — you can feel the ā€œold-schoolā€ charm from the moment you walk in. The staff are friendly and efficient, and food was served in less than 10 minutes, which was impressive! We tried a few soups and dishes — everything was rich in flavor and perfect with rice. The chicken was incredibly tender and delicious, and the soup was packed with a strong herbal aroma and natural sweetness. It tasted authentic and nourishing, just like a comforting bowl made by grandma. One tip: if you’re going for the coconut chicken herbal soup, make sure to arrive early. We got there at 8PM and it was already sold out! That one’s definitely popular. Overall, this is a great place for anyone looking to enjoy hearty, traditional Chinese food with a deep, homemade taste. Would absolutely come back again!

My 2nd time here. Noticed it’s frequented by chefs, students and blue collar workers around the area. Tried the WTM, which is reasonably good. Next tried the Chinese mixed rice, took kam heong la la, YTF and black fungus chicken with foc soup. Cost RM10. The price is slightly higher compared to others, however the food qualify is much better and all the dishes were good, taste like home-cooked food. They have like 20+ varieties and opens for brunch and lunch only. The coffee shop serves local kopi and tea which are not bad either. Gonna come back for more šŸ˜…

Well, just pass by hoping to get food late noon at 2pm. There's not much choice yet so i settle with mixed rice. But this shop is definitely not recommended. Tastely and no meat cost Rm10. Not sure that's a right price but I can find better nearby. Not recommended to try. Part 2, guess what, the guy came in after me who get a whole mountain of vege and meat, RM13

Conveniently located behind Berjaya Time Square, it's breezy and cool in the morning. Wan Tan Mee was the main dish on almost all the occupied tables so that's a good indication. Seeing that the stall is run by an elderly Chinese couple sealed the deal, when most stalls are operated by hired foreign hands these days. The sauce in the dry Wan Tan Mee is not as flavourful as my regular favourite but combined with the dry curry chicken, it was a very enjoyable dish. Nicely balanced for those with a preference for lighter taste (less salt, msg), rating it very good. Those with less sensitive tongue would put this at above average. I will definitely come back if I'm...
