Disappointing Stay – This Hotel Doesn’t Deserve an 8.0 RatingBooked 2 rooms for my mum, my girlfriend, and me. We checked in at 2am due to coach delay, exhausted. We didn’t check the rooms thoroughly until the next morning.My mum complained about itchiness at night. Her bed had black specks, hair, and unclean linen. Mine had a visible blood stain. I reported this along with a faulty air-conditioning system and non-functioning phone to the front desk at 8am.We returned to the hotel at 4pm — nothing had been cleaned, even though the “make up room” sign was left. Someone had entered my room and turned on the AC, although we only had one card. This was worrying.Then I noticed everything:Phone didn’t workTV remote faultyHot water took 5 mins to heat upNo slippersMoldy, cracked bathroom tilesTowels were old and stainedI complained again at 6pm. At 8pm, the manager said he "fixed" everything except the hot water (low pressure) and AC (room facing sun). These excuses were unacceptable. He offered to change rooms, but only to a lower level — not an option since I was traveling with my elderly mum and wanted to stay on the same floor.Honestly, this hotel was a complete letdown. The hotel is located very close to the Madikeri market. This is perfect as all the tourist spots are at reasonably comfortable distance from this location. Some of them are even as close as 2 or 9 KM. So the transit time is reduced and you get more time to spend enjoying the spot. There is sufficient parking for the hotel guests. The people at the reception are friendly and cooperative. They even guided us in selecting which places to visit. There is a place called mandalapatti, a must visit, which is not accessible in your own vehicle. Unless you have a four wheel drive suv and you are an offroading enthusiast you should not attempt this rout on your own. The hotel staff arranged for a jeep and a driver to take us to this spot ofcourse for a charge. The rooms are spacious and have all the essential amenities and are functional. The bed is cozy and comfortable. TV and AC are available. Water is available 24 hours. Solar water heater and a geyser both are available. All in all this is a perfect hotel for a very...

I have mixed feelings about this place.. Behavior of staff- excellent, cleanliness - excellent etc etc BUT I got a horrible experience of mine.. I booked this place through booking. Com and as a genius customer this place offered me a 10% discount but boy I didn't know that it would lead me to such a horrible room.. I booked a superior king room.. But when I got into the room the room was not as mentioned and it had a window blocked by walls basically making it a no window room which these people also have a choice for... When I asked them to change the room they said u have booked the room on discount and hence we have very few limited rooms alloted to that... So me being a privileged customer of booking. Com became a curse for me.. So guys if you are booking this hotel on my terms... PLEASE DON'T.. unless u would want to pay almost the same money as everyone else and stay is such a horrible room... I will also share the room I got so incase u get alloted that just reject it.....
