I recently stayed at Furama Bukit Bintang, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. While the hotel has some great features, there were also areas that need significant improvement.
The biggest frustration during my stay was the Wi-Fi. The internet was extremely slow and unreliable, which made it very difficult to work or stay connected. To make matters worse, the area also has poor mobile internet connectivity, so I couldn’t even rely on my own data as a backup. For a hotel that caters to travelers, especially those who may need a stable connection for work or communication, this was a major letdown. Improving the internet service should be a priority for the hotel.
Upon checking in, I faced another issue. I had booked an Executive Suite, but I was given an Executive Club room instead. This mix-up was disappointing, especially since I specifically booked the Executive Suite for the additional space and features. Luckily, I noticed the error and went down to the front desk to get it sorted out. The staff were very understanding and professional, and they promptly arranged for me to move to the correct room. While I appreciated how quickly the staff resolved the issue, it would have been better if the booking had been handled correctly from the beginning.
On the positive side, the room I eventually stayed in was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The Executive Lounge - although the selection of food for tea time and breakfast was limited, the quality of what was available was just okay. What stood out most was the fantastic view of the city skyline from the lounge, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. It was a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
The hotel’s location is another strong point. It has a convenient linked bridge walkway that connects directly to Lalaport shopping mall, a modern shopping and dining destination, which made exploring the area hassle-free. Additionally, Hang Tuah Station is within walking distance, providing easy access to public transportation for exploring other parts of Kuala Lumpur. This made the hotel an excellent base for both leisure and business travelers.
The staff at Furama Bukit Bintang were friendly, polite, and professional throughout my stay, which helped offset some of the negative aspects of my experience. They were attentive to my needs and quick to resolve any issues, which I truly appreciated.
Overall, Furama Bukit Bintang has a lot of potential, but it fell short in a few key areas. The slow Wi-Fi and initial room mix-up were major inconveniences that affected my overall impression. However, the clean rooms, attentive staff, excellent location, and fantastic views from the Executive Lounge are redeeming qualities that make this hotel a decent choice for travelers. If the hotel can improve its internet service and ensure greater attention to booking accuracy, it would be a much better experience for future guests. It’s a solid option, especially for those who prioritize location and friendly service over flawless...
Read morewhen my friend and I got to our room, we were greeted with the Petronas Twin Tower view. it indeed was beautiful in broad daylight, and spectacular at night!what we didnt like was that our room at one glance seems clean, but when we double checked it was dusty (especially the kettle glass shelf), the toilet condition was a little off (shower door was "broken"), shower head was adjustable but cant angle it properly like it was loose, sink tap water took so long to change temperature, under the beds we slept on had some leftover rubbish and lots of dirt and dust (checked by accident because i dropped something). the windows were dirty as well, it had some dust and watermarks from the outside. and thats just about the room.what we also didnt expect was that we had to go down to the reception to get a WIFI router to have WIFI access in our room. what happened was, we tried the format stated on the key card holder to log in to the WIFI (eg. name of guest + room no. + password), we tried 3 times before calling the reception for help. we tried 2 more times after they asked to try again but still failed so we had to call them again. they said they'll call back and i initially thought maybe they'd send someone up but they called us about 10mins after to say "we'll give you a router, you can come to the reception counter to collect it". i was confused but i just said okay sure and hung up. so yeah we went to take the router, head back to the room and get it sorted out on our own.other than the room related stuffs, we also didnt like the buffet breakfast provided 🥲 it was really disappointing, the food options were limited, the food quality was not good (french toast was dry!!), the cups for hot drinks were dirty. we had the buffet once during our 4 days stay, and thats more than enough to say about the experience.no hard feelings though, the hotel is nearby berjaya times square, walking distance too. we like the comfy beds and tv channels. we hope theres some improvements made by the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful 4-star hotel, and I must say it was an experience worth remembering. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth, and the warm hospitality set the tone for the rest of my stay.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained with all the necessary amenities. The housekeeping team ensured that everything was spotless, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the room made it perfect for relaxation after a long day.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service at the front office. I would especially like to mention Mr. Altaf, who was incredibly professional, polite, and always ready to assist with a smile. His knowledge about the local area, willingness to answer questions, and prompt service really enhanced my overall experience. It is rare to meet someone so dedicated to making guests feel at home, and his efforts truly stood out.
The hotel also offers excellent dining options, with a variety of delicious dishes that catered to both local and international tastes. The breakfast buffet was well-prepared and had plenty of choices. Additionally, the facilities such as the gym and lounge were well-kept, providing extra comfort and convenience.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this 4-star hotel. The blend of comfortable accommodation, quality dining, and most importantly, the outstanding service from the staff—especially Mr. Altaf at the front desk—made my visit memorable.
