It was our first time here in KHB Bukit Tunku after my friend recommended it to me. The queue took us about 30 mins and it took 3 rounds of searching to find a parking near the roadside. I would say it's easier to get a table if you come in a pair. We were lucky to get a good seat indoor and near the counter. The menu has a variety of options to choose from and as we don't know what are good here, I googled for the suggestions online. Based on my personal experience regarding their service: Someone said on Google review that we can go to the counter to see the pastries and sitting right in front of the display area, I thought like any other normal cafe that we can walk freely to just have a look at the pastries displayed. Right when I was passing by, I was rudely stopped by the waiter named Faruq. He said everyone needs to queue to go to the display counter dining in or not, being confused I explained that I just wanted to see while walking back to my seat with him following me. He seemed unhappy and continued saying I can order from my seat. The thing is I was not even trying to go to the cashier to buy the pastries separately. I think he probably misunderstood me and thought I was cutting queue for the takeaway section. In my defense, both me and my friend didn't even notice there's this takeaway queue. So for no reason, I got told off from the beginning of my dining experience. Even my friend heard him, asked me about it and said his tone wasn't good but we were trying to think from his perspective. Regardless, he pretty much ruined my mood from the start. Just my suggestion, perhaps you can ask if the customer needs help before jumping into the wrong conclusion that affects anyone's mood. Because of that incident, I felt like I needed to ask for permission from the girl standing at the display counter before I could pass through the corridor just to go to the ladies in the corner of the restaurant. However, the Indian guy in red colour long sleeves shirt was super polite and friendly, and the rest of the staffs were also quite nice. Food wise: For the pastry, we'd ordered the peach strudels since I read good reviews about it. The waiter suggested that he served that first before the savoury dishes. I'm glad he did so. Please order some pastries so you have something to fill in your stomach while waiting for the main dishes to be served in a bit. Peach strudels was sooo good, the crunchiness of the flakey pastry skin and the taste was just on point! Highly recommended. Egg flamenco was decent, truffled eggs and smoked salmon came last and I think the waiter forgot to place the order for that dish as it didn't arrive until we asked for it but it was understandable. The dish was quite delicious, with a tad of saltiness on certain bites. All in all, based on just these 2 main course dishes, I would say their pastry is the outstanding one and a must to order if it's your first visit. Coffee were lovely! Environment: The restaurant is quite crowded but can see it's actually quite big and possibly their biggest branch yet. Comfortable place for a meal with your loved ones :) After dining, you can stroll around the shoplots and there's a neighborhood supermarket that you can visit and all the shelves are fully stocked up with a good range of items to...

Update as of 3 March 2024:

I would like to commend the team (specifically Mr Saad) for their prompt service recovery. After my initial review, they contacted me through WhatsApp to rectify the matter. Although I did not accept any compensation as none was needed, I am pleased that the team offered various resolution methods for their customers :) Original review:

I recently visited Kenny Hills in Bukit Tunku for takeaway on 24 Feb 2024, hoping for a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, my visit left me feeling quite disappointed. During the ordering process, the cashier seemed a bit disorganized, asking me to hold on a few times and taking longer than usual to process my order.

I ordered 2 iced lattes, one with extra sugar, and 1 strawberry shortcake. However, when I received my order, I was given a strawberry tart instead of the shortcake. When I pointed out the mistake, the staff quickly swapped it for me, which I appreciated.

The mix-up didn't end there. Another staff member handed me 2 iced chocolates instead of the lattes I ordered. When I checked my receipt, I noticed that everything was wrong. The cashier explained that they could only swap one of the iced chocolates for an iced latte, but couldn't provide a clear explanation for why they couldn't change both drinks.

Overall, my experience at Kenny Hills was disappointing, especially considering I had chosen it over another cafe initially. Spending RM53, I left feeling like I could have had a more satisfying experience elsewhere. I hope Kenny Hills can improve their customer service and attention to detail...

DOESN'T LIVE UP TO THE HYPE

This place + waiting queue might be worth it if you are going for its ORGANIC food

Parking is not free and very very limited. And it is ONE WAY. If you reached the end, you have to get out and make one more round.

Queue. Obviously. Luckily at 11am on a weekday, there was only like 4 or 5 people in front of me. But when i looked behind me, there was already a longgg queue. I got lucky that i arrived a tiny but earlier and only had to wait like 30 min in queue.

The greenery is nice, but the place is packed with people. The cafes around here have the same view with less waiting time and more peaceful vibe. Who knows, the food might be even better. So might be worth a try.

People have been recommending the PEACH STRUDEL. This is just my personal preference. It is TOO CRISPY. With every touch and bite, it just crumbles into pieces. Some might love it for its crunchiness. The creme is sweet though.

the AVOCADO DRINK is like puree. Like pure avocado, no sugar, except for the little bit of chocolate syrup on top. avocado smoothies tepi jalan definitely more suited for me 😆 i couldn't even finish the drink here.

The CHAI LATTE was disappointing. I am ok to drink it with no sugar but one of the spices was overpowering. Like the ratio is off.

EGGS FLAMENCO is okay if you like tomatoes. It is not spicy at all. But gets very "muak" very fast.

LAFAYETTE is good. But i personally like the breakfast at Dotty's better.

LOTS OF PASTRY AND CAKES selection. I noticed a few neighbouring cafes also have pastry and cakes. But the options are not as many as kenny hills's.

VERDICT: Yeah, once is...
