The Alibi Kl — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Nice atmosphere here, good music (not too loud so we can still hear each other), nice decoration BUT all this was spoiled by the bad and not really honest service.

First the happy hour that they show on website seems to be just a way to attract people as when we asked for it, they say only on beer and wine, not on cocktails (not even all the waiters were giving the same info - not sure is this way to do come from management or don’t know).

So okay, one of us take a glass of wine and one of the waiter suggest to another person who wants wine also to take the free glass. We agree. But then surprise when happy hour is finished : another waiter come to us saying that we have 2 glasses of wine to pay (one for each person). We explained that we used the promo for the second person. Unprofessional answer : « its too late now, we type it like this in the machine, you have to pay for 2 glasses ». WOW. So now when the waiter do a mistake (or even if miscommunication - but this was clearly dishonest way to get our money), it is to the client to pay for the mistake ??? What is that ? Just to get more money … (but just lead us not to take a cocktail instead, which Would have bring more money … anyway ..)

About the food, really really basic for the price … disappoiting. Ordered a thai spices chicken burger, not even a small taste of spices. All sandwiches are to avoid (panini really basic also). Only pasta seem ok.

Oh well, really rare that I give such a long comment, but I have never faced this kind of dishonest and unprofessional service. And seems that not only for us seeing the other...

I booked a table for 8 ppl on Friday night at 8 pm. When I arrived there , the waiter seated me at a couch / lounge area where the table is small and low. I told him me and my friends are here to have dinner and then drinks so could we sit at a proper table to have our dinner.( mind you the place was empty at this time!) the waiter insisted that “normal “ people eat at the couch implying I was asking for smthn that isn’t normal. Then I insisted on sitting there at the table but he said it’s reserved for his regular customers ( 4 ppl ) . I told him simple maths will lead you to know 8 ppl vs 4 ppl , who would be spending more at his restaurant. But he then called his “manager “ ; I assume acting manager because he was so rude to me and told me to call his boss if I had a problem. I called the boss to tell him what happened but he cut the line after I explained to him. Moral of the story don’t go to this place if you think customer service is important. Don’t hire foreign workers who aren’t trained to handle customers. Don’t assume because I’m a woman you can speak to me a certain way. Never going here again and never recommending this place to...

It's was a long day work. Expecting to enjoy the night out. Yet the bartender John was so rude to us while we pass a drink to our guy colleague just to use as a cheer around. it's a ladies night and it's free just for ladies not for guys,we have some wrong doing ,yet is it a nesessary to shouted at us ? and mention loudly, cutting of the ladies night drink?! It was so awkward for all of us, and it cuts of the vibe of enjoyment .its not like we ain't ordered anything else..as we ordered at least of 3 rounds of food. How much of your gordan gin worth ? Rm170/btl for retail and rm 300 for your bar?Just charge the table if you think it's right. All just for a small glass of g&t. It's going to be 1st and last. I know nothing to loose for a group of customers , yet, words will be spread in f&b line. I personally wish you well in your company with this one kind of...
