Traditional Turkish breakfast and manay rich dishes with fast and good service. It's worth a try, and personally, I am encouraged to come back for breakfast again and try the lunch dishes as well. Different dishes with a distinctive taste. The baked goods are delicious and light on the stomach. The tea is constantly refilled for free. I recommend sitting outside in front of the garden to enjoy the blue sky, the green colour of the trees and grass, and the tranquillity that characterizes the place. I really loved it, and I loved its location.
This time I'm here for lunch, The menu is confusing, everything looks delicious and you want to try everything but... well, in the end, you decide after you insist your companions let you taste a bite from their dish... hahaha... The food arrives, looking tidy, clean, and hot. Then Bismillah (in the name of God) you start with a plate of aubergine dip that holds slices of meat with a delicious dip, next to it is a piece of bread crowned with white and black sesame. You enjoy a plate of kofte with bites of Iskender kebab, not with the traditional doner but with a wonderful meat taste. The pastry sheets are richer in spiced meat than any Turkish sheets I have seen. They are worth the price. The simit is fresh and delicious to drink Turkish tea with. The service is excellent, and the Turkish chef welcomes you with a smile as if you are the favourite guest of the house. I prefer sitting outside to enjoy the calm green surroundings, but the indoor salon has an elegant touch and is always clean. I would like to come back to try other dishes, and I advise you...
Read moreIt's just newly opened! Found this place by chance. Have been to their main outlet, Turkish Cafe Istanbul, in TTDI.
The ambience is warm & welcoming. It has both indoors & outdoors seating, the later perfect for a cool evening.
Started off with the Falafel. It had a crispy exterior & moist interior. The dipping sauce was adequate & a perfect accompaniment.
Mixed Mexe Plate had 5 dips & warm flat breads, which were soft. The dips were Hummus, Spicy Tomato, Babaganoush, Caramelised Yoghurt & Patlican Soslu. Each of it was a melt in the mouth. If you love dips, this is perfect!
The Menemen Cakalli is a mesh of mirepoix & eggs. It was creamy & an indulgence. The sesame bread accompanying it was warm & soft.
The Pistachio Roll was well filled & mildly sweet.
For those who love strong coffee, the Turkish Coffee is for you. Served black & like a shot!
Will be back to...

1] kuymak ... cheesy and buttery polenta ... rich and filling
2] menemen çakalli ... veggies and cheese in the usual egg preparation ... again filling but less so than no.1 due to the acid from tomatoes (comes with the sesame'd iskander bread, excellent)
3] lamb & eggplant kebab ... mince lamb patties and grilled eggplant ... decent , nothing too exciting
4] kunefe ... the cheese within was still cold, the top not as browned as it should be and it could do with a little more syrup ... guite disappointing because the one at "istanbul" is superb
[1] and [2] are not available at "istanbul"
this place is calmer compared to "istanbul's" bustle and energy
attentive staff
