Kofi by 77 — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Vista Kiara Shoppe houses at least 3 cafe which safe to say, I'd visited them all. But let's focus on this Kofi By 77 which is the first of the three that I'd visited. If you're an early riser, good news because they open early for breakfast on weekdays - 7.30am to be precise. On weekends, it'll be 8.30am.

I always look for a cafe which offers a quiet, serene and relaxing atmosphere and this fits the bill. They have selection of cakes and pastries to go with the caffeine laced espresso drink and I couldn't say no to that.

◾burnt cheesecake with fruits on the side.. quite creative. ◾Flat white - good coffee bean makes good coffee. ◾Signature by 77 - iced black coffee with a tinge of orange which I think a perfect match. I've no qualm ordering this again. ◾if coffee & cake are not enough for you, they also provide breakfast options, salad, toasties as well as some finger bite (light snacks)

What I love about them is the fact that they use 100% organic Arabica beans sourced directly from the plantation in Papua New Guinea and roasted in-house...

Apart from the nice ambience (cafe design, seating, music), unfortunately there is not much to it. The coffee, no complaints but there are so many better options around. Came on a Saturday and the crowd was OK. Enough privacy for all. We tried the Volcado (avocado grilled with egg and cheese shaving) and the Philly toast. I have no problem with creative food items. In fact in a competitive cafe scene, that's probably essential. Regardless, kitchens need to make sure taste is good. Don't get me wrong. Nothing is wrong with the food taste but if you are charging above average prices, expectation will be high. Unfortunately, 77 falls short. I hope they...

This is a well designed cafe. There are natural places to gather in small groups and enjoy an intimate conversation.

The coffee beans are sourced from Papua New Guinea and roasted locally. Their cakes are interesting and varied from the usual fare.

Yen and her team are warm and welcoming; putting customers at ease with their efficient, friendly service.

In a crowded coffee market Kofi by Kofi77 has defined itself with excellent coffee, a lovely environment and great service.
