Wanted to write a complaint here. Just to be clear, this is an isolated issue and most likely does not represent the cafe under normative conditions. But we had the most horrid customer service here. It was on the Sunday 28th of February at around 930 am. We got into the cafe, my wife took my young daughter to seat and I proceeded to order.
I was served by this Chinese male barista, who had his hair tied, fair skinned, and spectacled. Quite tall and slightly plump (I wanted to be as prescriptive as possible because I do not have his name - and in our past experiences, the other employees in the cafe have been very polite and so I wanted to be fair in my review).
My order was RM 49 in value and I proceeded to hand over RM 60 in cash. The said barista told me that they preferred cashless transaction (in all this, his tone was very rude and begrudging) but I told him that it is more convenient for me to pay in cash (since it was a preference, why would it be a problem? And why should his preference override mine?). He then proceeded to give me an ultimatum, basically saying, “The next time you come here, you have to pay cashless..”. At this point, I lost my composure which I’m not exactly happy about. It is difficult to convey this in writing but his attitude was awful, it is as if he’s doing me a begrudging favour by serving me and it felt like he was reprimanding me (for what again?). At this point, we decided to leave as our morning has been spoilt. My wife and child had high expectations of an enjoyable breakfast.
Firstly, if I HAVE to use cashless payment, why wasn’t it stated at the cashier? I even asked him this and he kept silent. Secondly, if he were to ask nicely, all this wouldn’t have been a problem. I would have gladly accommodated. The attitude however, was just horrifying. For a cafe of this standard, I have to say I expected a lot more in customer service. This is just regretful and if the staff remains unapologetic and is not remorseful over this situation (of which I’m sure he would remember), I would advice management to remove him from the establishment. Maybe Kopenhagen should be more selective in hiring, or if otherwise, provide some basic customer service training so experiences like this would not...

Read moreOk I’ve hands down found my most favorite café in KL - and it is this!! 😍💕 it’s really so lovely I’ve been here for 3 consecutive days 😙
Ambience: First up, I absolutely LOVE the minimalistic design of this place - with plants all around, white walls, windows and loads of natural light pouring in 🤩 what a vibe! Great music is also being played in the background and it creates a very relaxed atmosphere - I felt really happy just being here ☺️
Food: Wow this blewww me away!!!! I super LOVE it that they serve the food in small portions that is just right - that way I can have a variety of dishes and select the right macronutrients that I would like to have. Haha! Most of the food choices are really healthy and I felt soooo good eating and starting my day with breakfast here 🥰 Absolutely in LOVE with the danish rye bread (so soft, so delicious, idk how they did it), greek yogurt w granola, tuna mousse, roasted sweet potatoes and pumpkin, smashed avocado, and croissant!! I don’t usually order croissants but they did it so well here (served warm and is buttery and flaky) that I couldn’t not order it again. All the dishes I ordered are super delicious omg I’m so in love 🤩
Coffee: I can tell the male barista is very serious about coffee and it’s reflected with the delicious, 💯creamy and perfect latte he makes. The latte art is super cute and perfect!! Literally no bubbles or anything off haha, love it!! 🥰 they serve oatly milk here too which is just absolutely fantastic!
Staff are helpful and nice. You may spot an occassional cute doggo 🦮 while dining here too.
