I visited Muska today with my family of 4 and had an incredible dining experience overall. The food is amazing, with unique and creative fusion flavors that we truly appreciated. The ambiance is equally delightful, making it a great spot for a family meal.
However, I do want to provide some constructive feedback. I ordered the chicken tacos, which arrived with a cheese filling. This wasn’t mentioned on the menu, nor was I asked about any allergies. With the rise in food allergies and sensitivities like lactose intolerance, it’s essential for restaurants to either indicate such ingredients clearly on the menu or inquire about allergies beforehand or specify in some way or another.
When I politely informed that I am allergic to cheese , I was initially told it wasn’t possible to exchange - quote ‘we cannot’. While this situation was eventually resolved (and I wasn’t charged for the replacement in the end, which I appreciated), the process could have been handled more sensitively. I shouldn’t have to eat something / pay for something that I am allergic to which can potentially cause a health hazard , which was essentially something that was made to feel like it was a fault of mine for ordering and that I should have known the tacos would have a cheese filling for the meat to stick. All ingredients except cheese wasn’t mentioned on the menu. How is a consumer supposed to know? Anyways, an acknowledgment of my dietary difficulty or an apology about the situation would have gone a long way in making the experience more positive, rather than making me look like I’m being difficult for the sake of it. To be fair, after I was blatantly denied a replacement for a set without cheese, I ordered another set and agreed to pay , as that's exactly what was relayed. They dont care if you have an allergy. You can order another one and just pay for both while packing the other one home. Does that even make sense?
I only found out at the check out that it had been waived (I had mentioned to leave a review which I would nonetheless for other consumers to be aware). I would gladly pay if I wasn’t made to feel ‘this is what it is.' Anyways, I tipped the staff as I believe it was still of no fault of theirs and that it was probably a policy driven response.
All said, the food at Muska is undeniably good, and I would still recommend it to friends and family. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback into consideration to refine its customer service policies and ensure an even better dining experience...

Shredded Lamb Pancakes ( RM20) Beetroot, shreded lamb pieces, masalas. Interesting twist to our usual savoury pancakes!
Chole Poori (RM 22) Prettiest dish that wow-ed all of us! Cool choice to use spinach and beetroot poori, and the savoury dahl goes perfect with the poori.

Read moreTerrible service ! The waiters are just running around but nothing seems to get done. The bar tender works at a snail pace. It took him 30 minutes to pour a glass of beer. 45 mins for a lemonade and 55 mins for a cold coffee.
Three ppl on a table and each one gets a drink after repeated reminders. We could see the bar tender just hanging around behind the counter and just so busy looking around and talking instead of doing his job. The waiters themselves looked getting irritated with him. After waiting for 40 minutes when we asked about our food, we were told that they are bringing it slowly as they are under staffed and they bring in each dish one at a time. Really ??? Then you might as well ask each person to sit on different tables because they surely cannot enjoy a meal together. When ppl come in to dine together , they come in to dine 'TOGETHER'. After 50 mins of waiting, 3 dishes arrived with a gap of atleast 10 mins and the 4th was conveniently forgotten. Starters and main cousre alternated each other.
Why should a restaurant let guests in if they feel they are under staffed ? What is their excuse for this. If you cannot provide a service properly then you might as well not provide it all. Every time a restaurant cannot throw out an excuse of being 'understaffed' and expect to be sheilded from any back lash from a customer. Does the customer then have a choice to pay you according to the terrible experience they had??? Wake up owners and the staff of this restaurant. Fix your service. A meal in a restaurant is not just about the food. Its a wholesome experience. And if you are wondering about the food rating, i guess the bad service just spoilt the taste ! PS. Can you pls ask your staff to not wipe and collect the cutlery in the dining area. It just creates an unnecessary orchestra of...
