Recently renovated, but the queues are still long and slow. By the time we got to the food, most of it were gone and it's not 12:15 only. As we were about to order, the lady put up a premade sign (obviously this happens a lot) to let us in the queue know that there chicken sold out. Half the queue disappeared the moment the sign came up! We got the beef salai and a few veggies. The food is very good and it seems they are not interested to make more. We sat down to eat at 12:20 and by the time we were finished at 12:50, the staff had cleared up and cleaned up! When we got outside the gate, the Close sign was already up! Obviously not interested in more business which they easily can double. Overall the food is well above average, the beef was tender and flavorful, the masak lemak was opulently rich and tasty and I would rate the food 4.5 stars. But the queueing and flow needs addressing. You can always know your system is inefficient when your queue is very long but your tables are not full. Firstly, the long line takes you to the glassed off section where you can look and choose what you want. Then you round the corner where you choose what you want and all this is piled on a huge metal tray. You then head to the payment counter and order your drinks there. So this is where everything slows down. After paying, you have to cut across the queue to find a table. It would be better to place the dishes on the left side of their courtyard where you choose and collect your food. Then move the queue anti clockwise to where the drinks are made. Order the drinks then move on to pay, collect your drinks and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are craving for Masakan Kampung Negeri Sembilan, donāt fret because this is the place to go within KL and Klang Valley. The lemak daging salai was exquisite. The smokiness was well infused in the beef and the gravy was silky smooth. It is no doubt that it is one of the crowd pleasers. The Sambal Ijo was perfect with its spiciness level not over the roof. This place is quite famous amongst the nearby office goers, so best to go early to avoid the crowd and some of the dishes especially the popular ones sells out early. Best time is between 11-12. Parking is a bit painful here as the road is a bit narrow and there is no proper parking area. There was a Rela guard on duty to guide you for this. Price wise, don't expect it to be like your typical "nasi campur" price. It costed us about RM50 for 2 person with white rice and 2 side dishes each including drinks. Not something you would eat every day I suppose. Definitely will come again to try other dishes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Lubuk Bangku with high hopes, especially after hearing good things about the food. While I can confidently say that the āmakanan memang sedapā, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the poor customer service.
Even before I had the chance to enjoy my meal, I was scolded by someone who I assume is the owner, as she had the demeanor of someone in chargeāa makcik. Her tone was harsh and uncalled for, completely setting the wrong mood for what was supposed to be an enjoyable dining experience.
There was a clear lack of basic āadab dalam melayan pelangganā, which was very disappointing. No matter how good the food is, the way customers are treated plays a huge role in whether or not they will return.
the owner (or staff) could focus on improving their customer service and practicing some patience and respect. Until then, I doubt Iād be coming back anytime soon. Food alone is not enough if the experience is soured by...
