Let me preface this by giving the context as to why this review is being made, it is during Valentine’s Day. They have 3 appetisers , 1 soup, 1 main course, and 1 desert. PS: We had to pay 200 in advance as well for reservation.
Now that is out of the way, let me give you a definite explanation and reason as to why you should not go to this establishment.
First, Valentine’s Day is reservation only; there is limited menu too and only the valentines course meal is available. However, none of the staff even bothered to ask if we wanted any drinks when we were served to our seats. Next, it took them roughly 20-30 minutes to serve our first dish — the salad appetizer. However, this wasn’t even the proper appetiser that was supposed to be served to us. We didn’t mind and just ate it for the time being as we were already hungry at that point.
After about 15minutes, we had to ask the staff to finally ordered our drinks, and that also took roughly another 15 minutes just to serve the drinks. Though with that, none of the soup or other appetizer was served. We had to ask again only to be given a phrase “oh sorry our kitchen is busy. “ (keep this phrase in mind, as I will be using it quite a bit)
After what seems to be an hour, we finally got served our main course; not the soup. Oh but that’s not everything, we were only given 2 of the 4 main course. And probably after another 10minutes or so, we finally got all our meals.
Here’s the catch, the bolognese we ordered was given the wrong meat. In the menu, it said to be a minced lamb, but we were served salmon instead.
Finally with the main course completed, we had to again ask where’s the other meals. And again the same phrase was used: “oh sorry, we are busy”. *Another context has to be given, other customers were also waiting for a long time, and by the time it was around 9+, there honestly weren’t many customers left.
After awhile, they finally served the soup to us, and we gobbled that up within minutes. What bothered us more was that they could see we were done with the soup, because we were walking about waiting—as usual.
Being furious with this, we had to go up AGAIN to the staff and asked, and in which they had the audacity to say: “oh, the desert is already prepared. “ but how is it that it’s not being served at all?
We gave up and asked for the bill, telling them to deduct the total from the 3 items that weren’t served to us; they told us to wait for their manager.
At this point, I had to step my foot in, reprimanding them for their extremely poor service. Now here’s another great experience, let’s just say the manager doesn’t know how to de-escalate the situation. He gave us 2 options: wait for the food to arrive; give us a discount.
We were mad and wanted to leave, so we had to tell him off for not knowing how to deal with customer when we were already fuming.
Finally they gave us a discount, and again gave the same apology — oh sorry the kitchen was busy.
Overall, I did not expect this place to have such a terrible service. We even been here before and had a great time. But after this ordeal, I will make sure everyone who reads this should know its horrendous service, and terrible way in handling the situation.
0/5 if I can give for service. 3/5 for food because it was lukewarm to cold. 5/5 for valet guys,...
Read moreDelicious food and amazing service, we were there from brunch till dinner! Brunch prepared by Chef Baby and Manager in charge was Mr. Saiful. Dinner was made by Chef Delirum and managers were TC and Rubel. The managers took us for a tour of the 14,000sqft colonial bungalow built in the 50s, formerly the residence of the Senior Military Official of the British Army, with many rooms and spaces, each with their own unique character. A lovely spot for absolute privacy and exploring tantalizing flavours of the world through their carefully- curated cuisines. We had the Spanish Migas with smoked duck, the pizza ( half mutton masala, half margherita), salted caramel cookie cake for brunch. For dinner was Granny Smith Salad, creamy salmon pasta, hot chocolate and complimentary citrus cheesecake for dessert.
The Spanish Migas with smoked duck was a great start to our brunch. Filled with the right Spanish flavours tickling our taste buds preparing us for our next cuisine, an Italian classic dish, pizza! The pizza was proper, full of toppings and generous amount of melted cheese.
The Granny Smith salad was the right appetizer for dinner before our creamy salmon pasta which was absolutely delicious- like how Mama used to make in Italy, according to my friend Lady Mei. It also reminded me of a salmon dish that my late music teacher used to make in jolly old England many years ago ( he dated a few Italian ladies and learnt a dish or two!).
The citrus cheesecake was very French, small, yet subtly explosive in flavour. The hot chocolate, served with actual chocolate pieces and hot milk was close to a Belgian hot chocolate experience. Both were the right choices to complete the whole culinary journey.
Will DEFINITELY be back to try out their other dishes on the menu! Keep it up Bunglow37 team!

Read moreYesterday night, I came with a group of senior citizens celebrating 70th Birthday. The senior citizen group of 14 people already had their group orders before. Therefore I’m the only one who’s ordering food yesterday night. I ordered seafood bisque, fried chicken wings and spiced lamb shank. After my orders, I was out nearby taking photos. When I came back to my table with the group, I realised and told by one of the waiter named Sultan that my soup is mixed and given away to the senior Citizen group. I asked the waiter again, why is it mixed to them and not given to me. He said it’s already mixed but the order supposed to be mine and I’m the only one ordered seafood bisque. There weren’t any apologies or reimbursement for their service staff mistakes. I think it’s very ridiculous service given to me at these prestigious bungalow 37 establishment. I didn’t get to try the soup I paid for it. The fried chicken was alright nothing extraordinary. My spiced lamb shank which I didn’t taste anything spicy, lamb shank was dry, bland and not tender, quite tough. Vegetables given with the lamb shank wasn’t appetising and soft at all. Overall, I’m priced around RM195 for 3 course which my soup was given to others, ok edible fried chicken and for me it became over-priced unenjoyable spiced lamb shank. My entire time there was feeling warm that I had to use my own hand fan to cool down too. What an experienced in such prestigious...
