📍 Mitsuyado Seimen - House of Tsukemen 三ツ矢堂製麺 🍜

Special Tsukemen Karashi (Regular) - Fresh Japanese springy noodles served with spicy pork dipping soup. 🌶 (RM26.50) + Add on Cheese (RM4) Boiled Gyoza with Spicy Sauce (5pcs) - Mitsuyado's handmade gyoza filled with ground pork and vegetables with spicy sauce. 🥟 (RM13.80) Ebi Tempura (3pcs) 🍤 (RM15) Chicken Karaage (3pcs) - Japanese style fried chicken in crispy shell encasing a flavourful juicy bite. 🍗 (RM10)

Verdict: The best Tsukemen I’ve tasted 🥹👍🏻 Tbh this is my first time trying it and I fell in love with it immediately. Their homemade premium grade noodles are smooth and chewy with a hint of wheat aroma. Tsukemen can be served with various combinations of noodles at different temperature and a variety of dipping soup.

Step 1: Choose your noodle temperature : Hot/Cold Step 2: Dip the noodles into the bowl of thick soup Step 3: Slurp up the noodles from the bowl of thick soup Step 4: Enjoy the thick soup by adding dashi soup to adjust the taste to your liking

I actually didn’t expect melted cheddar cheese to go so well with spicy soup 😍😍😍 Two of life’s greatest indulgent pleasures made into one 🫡 The cheese really elevated the whole bowl of noodles because it’s able to coat the springy noodles so well! I loved how the soup was thick and flavourful with yummy chunks of pork 🐷 There was a sharp twang from the yuzu oil used which I am not very fond of (only because I don’t like anything sour), but those who fancy citrus based soup/ yuzu flavour, you will 100% enjoy all their soups! "Yuzu flavoured dipping soup" is the signature dish of Mitsuyado. 🍋 The rich soup is made by boiling vegetables with pork bones to create a well-balanced taste of sweetness and sourness in the broth. Its taste is enhanced by blending in exclusive seafood savor and dried ingredients, finished with their "special yuzu oil". This soup is unprecedented and cannot be found elsewhere. "Once you have a bite, you'll want to have another…" "You will never get enough of it…".

On a side note, you must order their gyoza because it’s so damn juicy 🤤 There’s nothing quite like that first bite of a boiled gyoza, so beautifully humble and loaded with porky goodness 🥟

Btw the service here is excellent 💯🙌🏻 The staffs were very attentive and kind; they were helpful and even explained about...

Food is just franchise quality with maybe better ingredients, I think for you those who say until like this restaurant can fly had never tasted real japanese noodle before, below is my opinion for each food that I ordered:

Roasted pork & cheese Tsukemen with yuzu based soup Large. Portion is not big, compared to other Japanese noodle restaurant the large is just standard size, Yuzu soup base is very controversial so i dont give judge on that, but I ordered cold noodle for the tsukemen and the thick soup came warm too? 🫡 whole dish experience including the roasted pork is like food left exposed to room temperature for hour or hours, the cheese does help a little at the same time dont make sense is this fusion or random mixed food, and for the DASHI soup is just powder mixed something not broiled beforehand

Black garlic hakata ramen, the noodle quality taste like yee mee to me or those Daiso soba quality mee, but for the listed price compared to their tsukemen i think they already knew their quality, the taste of the pork on it just inferior standard roasted pork, for the soup i think very normal like those rm16.80 ramen noodle soup

Chicken kaarage, ok standard, inside is tender and juicy but maybe the other food already drag the mood down felt like its just normal also

Final thought: I mean like it doesn’t taste like really bad, its just that its like there’s more choice you can have with this price point OR there’s a lot cheaper option Japanese noodle restaurant around, the service just standard ok service no bad experience. And the thing that annoys me the most is the reviewers that say like it will fly dont know you guys stoned or something 🌞 I was craving for japanese noodle and came because of the reviewers yet got this...

Bad experience dining here tonight:

  1. assigned to sit near the kitchen area, strong cockroach odour from the kitchen

  2. bad service from the waiters, total 3 staff outside but they don’t look like a supervisor to me. When serving 2 bowls of ramen, they combined it in a single tray and just put it on the table. however the point is afterwards the waiter served pan fried gyoza which was very surprising to me. It was a watery boiled gyoza instead but slightly pan fried at the bottom and just served it on top on tray again even though the table is long and plenty of space for him to put on, see the picture attached. I wonder if this is their special menu as it was totally different with other pan fried gyoza from other Japanese restaurants.

  3. while paying the bill, the waiter cum cashier just unwillingly told me the total and slammed the card machine on the table (not sure if this purposely) and I said thank you but he never even spoke a single word as a courtesy.

note: throughout the whole dining period, we did not complain anything, just observation.

Summary: hope the management can train the staff better and maybe allocate a supervisor to the premise. Also please improve the hygiene of the premise! Taste wise for the ramen was below average not to mention the ‘pan fried gyoza’ but the point here is to explain the dining...

My first time trying Tsukemen and I can say it is surprisingly tasty. Tried their Tantan Sesame Tsukemen and it was certainly an appetising meal. Noodles are well cooked which I believe is Soba and portion is just nice. The dipping sauce was unexpectedly tasty. I thought it's going to be very thick and super filling. However it's not. It's similarly like Cantonese Style gravy but smooth. Taste wise, there's a hint of sesame, a bit sour and mildly spicy. Sounds weird but it's actually not, an interesting and tasty combination. 5 stars here. Set came with pieces of Boiled Gyoza which is quite good thanks to the sauce that tasted quited citrusy, yuzu added? Only thing is the ingredients is a bit on the stingy side but then again at this price point.... The Black Garlic Hakata Ramen is not bad but honestly it's not their strength compared to other well known speciality Ramen joints. But still good though. Overall food is good especially the Tsukemen and price is affordable (cheap for some selections) but at the expense of lesser side ingredients.
