Good place to eat if you're with a hungry group of friends that like Korean food. The price is what dropped this down from a 5 star review (a set reccomended for 4 people cost RM99).
In case you're unsure what you'll get, here's my best explanation without pictures.
Each set consist of a hot-plate style dish, manly consisting of a generous serving of meat and vegetables (though the serving size for some ingredients was a little lackluster like the potatoes and topokki.), and some 'side dishes' which are either chosen by your, or determined by the set you ordered, but more on that later. You also get miso soup, kimchi, a shredded cabbage salad and some green lettuce, all of which are refillable.
Now, the aforementioned side dishes are actually more like the main filling that goes into the hot plate mix. For my table, we got ramen noodles, rice and cheese. Surely those don't all go together right? Well here's where it gets interesting. We began by having the ramen added into the hot-plate, and sure enough that was tasty. But once we finished the noodles (since the noodle to ingredients ratio was pretty big) and were left with about half of the chicken and vegetables in the hot-plate, the staff then came over and gave us what the shop calls the 'second round', essentially reheating the hot-plate and this time adding in the rice and cheese (which was a heavenly combination). This is the gimmick of Mr Dakgalbi. Once you've finished a 'round', you get a 'second round' to finish up the rest of the chicken and vegetables, along with a new main source of carbohydrates.
All-in-all, it was a pretty darn good meal. 4.5/5, but Google only let's me work with a...

Read moreMy husband and I were at KTCC today shopping. After a couple hours shopping, around 4pm, I proposed we share Korean dumplings, drinks, then take-away food for dinner tonight. However, this restaurant said it's policy is no dine-in without ordering at least one full meal. I spoke with the manager and he said it's policy and we would have to order at least one meal to eat with the dumplings. I tried to reason with him: Our first time at this Korean restaurant. It was only 4 so not dinnertime. The restaurant was empty. He wouldn't budge. I didn't want to mention we might order take-away because I didn't know if we'd like the food. I got angry and said it was stupid that they didn't want to sell any food when their restaurant was empty and they obviously didn't appreciate good customer service. Very disappointed because we didn't have any snack together but just went home instead. My husband said he's not ever going there in the future because there were plenty of other good restaurants that have good...
