The staff (Ah Lok and cashier) are extremely rude. My parents went for breakfast here last week and Ah Lok informed them we have a birthday voucher. Birthday was in September, therefore my mom specifically asked if the voucher still applicable in Oct. He said yes.
We went today thought of claiming the birthday voucher. Upon payment, the cashier said that the voucher is expired. We asked her then why your colleague told us we have a birthday voucher and confirmed we can use? She replied rudely that we have to check with him not her with frustration. She also refused to call Ah Lok and insist we have to deal with him ourselves. Isn’t this suppose to be your internal discussion and get back to us?
We still called Ah Lok to come over to the cashier counter, he remembered my parents came but he conveniently not admitting. First of all, if he didn’t mention birthday voucher, my parents wouldn’t ask if it still valid. It was verbal so we didn’t really want to argue. We are Oriental patron for many years. We do not make a big fust for small little hiccups in the restaurant over the years and the voucher is not big money. However, we are extremely upset with the way the staff respond and talk to us!
I believe you have this birthday program to make your customers happy and remind us to come back. However, your staff have successfully double the...
Read more26 Aug 2025 update. I gave it a second shot and when there with some friends. Dimsum was tasty, BBQ pork neck was succulent and delicious and snow pear dessert was good BUT the Chinese service staff were half-hearted, reluctant and when I called one of the staff over to take our order, she said we can look at the menu and tick accordingly. If so, why do you need them around? Also, I saw the same lady happily went to serve to serve another table. (foreign staff were attentive and obliging).
We were left to struggle with the small print using our phone's torch light to read the menu and order.
Such a big restaurant group, having all the 'oldies' staff who are too complacent. What a shame.
I've attached a photo of the particular staff...
I'm disappointed by the lack of taste and presentation of the food. Chicken rice was downright bored looking. Big clay pot of rice which can't even match those in kopitiam. Tasteless, nor fragrant. The sea cucumber was ok but that cost a whopping RM788 just for one dish!! Not worth the...
Read moreI'm a fans of oriental group but they disappointed me today. Ordered a fish porridge and waited for 35 minutes, followed up.with the waitress a few times, I'm not sure she is captain head or normal waitress , she asked me to wait and said it's cooking. Then I patiently waited there and went back, the waitress told me they overcooked my porridge and got the overcooked smell , and asked me whether still want my porridge, such a smart question, I politely answered of course I won't take, who would pay for overcooked porridge, she didn't even apologise and offered other food in return as an act of apology, she asked me whether want to change to other food, or cancel my food, I said not need, I'm shocked that this reputable restaurant considered that this is normal without saying sorry to me , she answered like not their fault , I swear I won't spend a single cent on this restaurant anymore and they are banned from my list. You refunded me but won't earn back my money and...
