The evening/night time crew is very nice, friendly and cheerful. I don’t know the guys name that assist my order, is it Mr Hussein? Thank you & your mannerism towards your customers shows that your are a very kind, and I promise to never forget this. Sorry for over praising you lol because…..
Now it’s the MORNING CREW that I’d like to raise the matter, seriously & hopefully immediate action to consider, especially the Malay Lady & her colleague that serves on Saturday morning, 17 August 2024. It was very unfortunate that Lady got some illogical reason to prepare drinks. I ordered an Iced Chocolate, but aghast that she filled the glass with 100% FULL of ICE!! Pardon me, I payed so much for a quality chocolate drink, and this lady treat my order like some pasar malam type aka ‘ada aku kesah’ kind of attitude.. so I asked her to trim the ice down, which she did BUT.. she didn’t top up with remaining chocolate liquid in my half-filled glass, which gets on my nerves. Unbelievable! I remember her expression were brimmed with a soft ‘padan muka’.. WOW…… with this type of silent malice that you have on your customer (especially to malay customer.. so hati-hati ya korang).. I don’t know, am I being too picky? I DON’T THINK SO!! I pay premium prices for these food, so I expect PREMIUM OUTCOME!
So.. to that Cik Akak, I suggest improve yourself when serving, regardless of the customer’s race/the way they dressed. Don’t be a prejudice smug & thinking the customers are clueless!! Same goes to her colleague (even tho he was at least try his best, to correct the...
Read moreYou have been warned. Just as the reviews of this particular Paul suggest, the experience here is way different from the one at Paul Pavilion.
The pastry I had (croissant with ham and cheese), while still tasted buttery and looks OKish, tasted a little rancid and burnt till it is borderline rubbery. I believe that it is overnight unsold pastries reheated and reheated until it is what it is.
Utensils given are plastic despite dining in, which is difficult to cut the already borderline rubbery pastry. Note that the plastic cutleries are the tough kind, not the easily breakable kind.
There is no Cafe Miel or other fancier coffee/drink offerings like Paul Pavilion. Yes, I get that this is a takeaway booth but honestly it feels very underwhelming compared to the Paul Pavilion menu. I strongly believe Paul should make this outlet a full fledged outlet to preserve the integrity of their brand instead of a half hearted "grab and go" outlet that doesn't do justice to the brand.
The only - ONLY - reason I gave this a four star review is because I was lucky enough to have a friendly and funny cashier/waiter named Zaki who was generous enough to sprinkle chocolate powder (my request) on his hillarious failed latte...
Read moreFor a bakery that's only been operating for a few months, I'd half expect the food and service to be good before it falls into the typical one year quality drop. BUT! Like one of the reviewers said, the Indian lady at the cashier with the white uniform had the unfriendliest tone and expression, like I was bothering her or something? I ordered the breakfast set to-go, and the croissant was placed in a paper bag almost the same size as the pastry, so it was difficult to walk while keeping the croissant in the bag. Wished the bag was slightly taller so I could fold it to keep my food secure? An extra bag doesn't help really, cause it's extra waste and my coffee would spill. And my coffee cup? The cover wasn't closed properly so naturally it spilled and burnt my hand. The croissant wasn't warmed up and was tough to chew. The coffee? Angry and bitter like I am now cause I wasted money at this so-called famous bakery. If I wanted coffee that tasted like that I would've gotten the black coffee at McDonald's cause there's honestly...
