Was celebrating my aunt's 60th birthday at the private room upstairs. The room was next to the function/event hall. It can fit 50 pax (5 tables) comfortably. Clean and cool air conditioning. Not stuffy as in some oth places. Decors were on our own. There was audio system provided too. I would have rated 5 stars if not for the toilets. Need to be upgraded...2 cubicles with 'out of order' signs and 3rd one cannot be locked. They should have taken the opportunity to repair or upgrade the restaurant during the lock down period. Besides that there were 2 steps up the ladies washroom which was not user friendly for older folks. Food wise was great...live up to their name. Everyone loved the signature char siew. Was served in chunky pieces, really smooth and not too fat but I would prefer it a little bit less sweet. Roast duck was juicy and tender and served with plum sauce. Yam well was soft and delicious with stir fried diced chicken meat and cashew nuts. The steamed fish in chili bean paste sauce was a 'rice stealer' dish. You feel like pouring and mixing the sauce into the hot white rice. The bonus was the crispy ⁰pieces of lard on top. Just perfect. For a Chinese birthday tradition, a noodle dish is a must to represent longevity. You try your best not to cut off the loooong noodles when serving. We had the longevity bun as well...with lotus paste fillings. It was a wonderful and satisfying meal before the birthday cake. Service was great and the floor staff were...

Had the Chinese Set with my family members for lunch. We have waited for 1 hour for the first dish to be served. Overall, the food was only average whereby some dishes such as soup / fish / vege were very salty. Moreover, the most unacceptable incident was there was no server was stationed in our room. Resulting we had to take / change our small plates / bowls / cutleries by ourselves! During our meal time, have asked for the captain to ask server to assist us on this, however there was no action taken. Their reason given was "busy".
After the dining was completed, I have personally informed the captains (NAMES: Mei Yin & Jasmine). However, they did not even apologized. They simply blame one of the foreign servers, but in fact this not server's fault - is the captains' fault who fail to plan for manpower and assure good service at 1st place. Such a poor service that they have provided to us.
Will never go back again to this restaurant! What a shame for this well-known brand to have hired such irresponsible people...
Read moreThe food taste used to be good. The restaurant brand name is all the while famous. But for this outlet, for me and my family we will not going back. First all the while, the price is not cheap and we know that, but the portion given is not generous. All serving portion is small even you ordered medium. We can't imagine if we ordered small size. To me, certain dish eg vegetable and doufu should be given bigger portion. A restaurant should be generous for certain type of dish. For rice, they charged rm3 for such a small bowl. We used to share one bowl two ppl, but at this restaurant we not enough to share. U can imagine how calculative they are. Come to the set of duck , this set is like popiah skin wrapped over one pc of duck meat. It cost us rm68 for 5 pcs of duck meat, not the whole duck. Only 5 pcs. We have six ppl. So one of us got no chance to eat. The captain not even to highlight to us is only 5 pcs. It is really not worth eating. This restaurant is not fine...
