Please be aware if you're coming during 6.00pm, as they're closed for a few hours, there's a rush of customers when the door opens, however they do not serve by table, instead of per dish.
So what happened was, our table of 8 had a vast serving time of 55 mins. The first udon was served ard 10 mins, but the last rice meal was served 55 mins later.
Moreover, some dish were served at room temperature, I was so sad that my chicken curry meal was not hot at all. From the curry, to the chicken, to the rice and including the chawanmushi is so sad on the temperature side. It's like everything was ready but no one served it.
On the service side, either they are overwhelmed or ignorant, but the service is slow. We were following up on our order since the meal is slow, but we had to repeatedly asked for service only we were attended.
I had been a patron for a few times, but this round's experience is not satisfactory, hope they...
Read moreMy daughter booked this place for lunch with my step daughter on 29 Dec 2022 for 12 noon.
We wanted a room but we could not because it was not ready so were a little disappointed with the noise.
Service was a little slow with the lack of staff.
Food quality was average but being a heavy eater, portion was small. Pricing was high. The taste was just average, nothing outstanding. However food was authentic but since the wasabi was made earlier, it was not spicy enough. The tuna doesn't look fresh. We also didn't like the idea of sharing the sauces.
The cloth towels were not thoroughly cleaned as they were found to be dirty. It would have been better to serve wet paper towels instead. So check your towels before using, if...
Read moreThere were several Japanese restaurants in Arcadia and we finally chose the more familiar name - Rakuzen which have many outlets all over Malaysia. The place is not very big and has different areas to suit different groups of customers. There’s also an upper floor area which I never been presumably for bigger groups. Anyway the food menu was largely similar and prices too. We ordered the sake oyako zen set which was good value at Rm39 with sides of chawanmushi, miso soup, fruits & salad, with 3 slices of salmon & 2 slices of salmon belly and egg roe. My daughter ordered the beef Yakiniku zen and she loves it. Overall we feel Rakuzen has maintained its food standards and...
