Worst service that I have experienced in my life for a restaurant. Never ever going to go back again. Half way through my second servings of my orders , the whole restaurant blackout and it was really unpleasant and hot as we are not able to see our food and there are no fans or aircon to dine in. It really spoils my mood to actually continue to eat and have a proper meal. As there is blackout, so the waiter came to every table and informed us that they were sorry and the meal for that night was Free Of Charge and on the house due to the current situation that is affecting everyone. Their apologetic offer was acceptable as they are not able to continue cooking and serving food as it was dark and this is a buffet and we couldn't have what we have ordered. When we asked when the power and lights will be back on, they couldn't give an answer.
So when I approaching the cashier to settle the bills, the power is back on and lights are back. Then, I told the cashier my table number and she printed out the receipt and I found that the meal is not FOC and is just discounted for 10% of the total bill. So I asked them whether there is any misunderstanding as earlier the waiter was apologizing and informed us that the meal was FOC and why now it is just 10% discount instead of FOC. The cashier said since the lights is on so it is just 10% discount. I argued for a while and got mad as I felt cheated and betrayed by their words, services and promises. If you doing in a service/customer line, please do what you have said and your promises instead of breaking them. This shows that you have no integrity and responsibilities. If you can't afford to provide FOC for your customer to handle this kind of situation, please don't informed your customer for the sake of showing your restaurant is very responsible and accountable. They told me that I could continue eating as I still have some time left , but only about 30 minutes which I think is ridiculous as the blackout has already wasted so much of my meal time earlier and they did not compensate for me. Besides, 30 minutes has not considered the time to cook and serve us which is insufficient. But the main point is my dinner and mood has already been affected with the bad experience and the blackout so definitely there will be no apatite to continue eating. We won't know whether the second blackout will occurred too. They insist on me paying the bill with 10% discount after explaining to them that is ridiculous to treat your customer as a kid that you can bluff them by saying something first and then do the opposite. I didn't want to argue more so I paid the bill and told them that I would NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN with this ridiculous customer service ! Don't do food business if you can't provide the best for...
Read moreWent there only because of the anniversary promotion they were having which was the 4pax 1 person pay full price and the other 3 get 40% off.
Food - It was honestly below average especially with how small the sashimi cut was. Their sushi wasn't too impressive either and honestly the only thing we enjoyed was the cawan mushi. For the sashimi size reference, just imagine the size of an eraser and sliced paper thin. The dessert was the worst, dry cakes and their ice cream was the only safe choice since it's a branded one.
Cleanliness - There was a small cockroach that appeared when I was taking ice cream....I think that says a lot. Luckily when I pointed it out the staff quickly cleared it.
Service - The servers were okay, considering they were mostly foreigners they did a pretty good job with ensuring our food arrived on time. The cashier however was the problem. A local Chinese lady was the one that handled our payment. First of all, her attitude was already very unfriendly. Second, when paying she immediately told us that the discount we got was the senior citizen discount for my mother, and when we clarified with her regarding the anniversary promotion she looked so lost and confused. Then when it finally dawned on her not only did she look like she didn't want to honour the discount she immediately told us in an unfriendly tone that we cannot stack discounts which wasn't our intention but rather we wanted to clarify. In the end we did get our correct discount but our entire experience was unfortunately ruined because of how unfriendly and unwilling the front desk was.
If honouring the discounts especially such a big one is making the staff or higher ups unhappy then I would suggest not giving the discount at all. Especially since the quality of the food is discounted as well it made us feel like we shouldn't even be paying the original price if the low quality of the food and service persists. And if there is a promotion going on it's best that the staff especially the front desk is very aware and not lost and confused. And after reading some other reviews from other people, it seems like the front desk lady had caused a lot of unpleasant experience for the customers. I think it's time to reevaluate her customer...
Read moreTook my father out to experience the buffet dinner after booking a few days in advance. Managed to secure the earliest slot at 5:30 pm on their website.
The overall experience allowed us to order as much as we desired, with the caveat of not wasting food. However, the quality of the food was average, lacking any standout elements.
The presentation of items on the appetizer table could use improvement. We would appreciate if you label the name for the dessert - example what ice cream flavour. Do label your green tea pudding as well, it’s seal up with plastic that I need to ask the staff what is it then their only open the seal for me to take.
Areas for potential enhancement:
Replace the large gas stove used for the sukiyaki pot with a smaller one to prevent tilting and potential hazards. Not just my table for this issue when we scoop the soup, other table also encountered this.
The warm indoor environment made the two-hour dining experience uncomfortable. The staff mentioned its warm due to Plaza Ackardia management's air conditioning pipe arrangement from G floor to 4th floor. We suggest you to sit outside.
Staff members should speak more clearly when responding to customer inquiries, despite potential language barriers.
The decision to dine was influenced by the advertised RM20 ++ unlimited sake offer. However, upon arrival, we discovered it was unavailable, with only overpriced YUZU drinks offered. It would be beneficial for HAMA management to update their social media platforms regarding such changes.
Menu - please put a short English description for better understanding.
Overall, i don’t feel it worth the money, there are better Japanese food outside with same price but better fresh quality serving. Plus the distance to...
