川二代 Chuan Er Dai — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

My first and last time visiting this restaurant. We were requesting the lady owner to recommend food for us and we took her recommendation to ordered 3 dishes and 1 dessert. Food are greasy and salty hence we felt sick of containing eating. After all we decided to take away the condensed milk fried bun. The milk and buns were serve separately on table but when requested to take away they just pour those milk into the same food container with buns. 🥲 See attached photo. In addition, we realised that those recommended dish we ordered was not offer for discount even tho there are “Promotion” board written clearly for those dish we order after we made payment and leaving the restaurant. This was how the lady owner reverted in mandarin when we casually asked for the reason. “ We only offer promotion upon request. If customers did not ask for promotion rate we will not share and charge the normal rate.” I felt unfair and disappointed with her response and continue to ask what is the purpose of putting the promo board since they don’t bother to offer as per written. “ Those promo boards displayed here some are no longer valid but just for reference only. Usually regular customers will know and understand “ she added. I’m sure more or less customers careless about the rate when picking Arkadia for dinner. However, the dishonesty and misleading promotion information from the lady owner is not ethically correct in sense. I see why the restaurant is so quiet and no customers now. Went there for dinner and we ordered 2 dishes; signature pepper chicken and steamed egg with minced meat. The chicken arrived after 15 mins which is fairly decent waiting time for a Sunday however our steamed egg was nowhere to be seen even after a 15 mins gap. We kindly reminded the waiter we are still waiting for our egg as the chicken is a dry fry and we needed something with gravy / sauce to go with the rice. After 10 mins still no sign and we reminded the owner again that it’s almost 25 mins since our 1st dish arrived . She informed us the kitchen is preparing and it should be any time soon and even after a good 10 mins the egg is not served. Meanwhile during the gap we can see that they are serving dishes to other tables who arrived much later than us. The owner even have the audacity to tell us that steamed egg usually takes a long preparation and cooking time. What nonsense!!!!!! We can tell they prioritize higher value order and higher revenue table (those with 4 pax and above). Definitely NOT going back. And mind you, it ain’t cheap . This is my SECOND time here, I really must say, VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! The lady boss here was so RUDE to all of us! We waited a whole hour for food and also nothing! At first they were very welcoming outside the shop, once we showed our voucher they gave us from the first time, the attitude change was literally terrible! If you can’t bear a RM 50 ringgit discount, then why did u even have it to us in the first place? Food was so salty, even the sour fish soup has lesser fish than before. And don’t even get me started at the laziji, they’re all just chicken skin! Even when we call them to ask about our food we all feel like they’re acting deaf, literally ignoring us!
