Menu-4⭐ It is actually athentics Malaysia Chinese street food or breakfast like wanton mee, curry mee, porridge, chicken rice and toast. But i like the way they added option to mix n match on wonton mee, curry mee and chicken rice where not just the meat, but the base rice or noodle type. Good taste is actually a wanton mee shop back in the days, but they have evolves to lot variety of dishes available, even yong toufu and chongfun.
Food-3.5⭐ Taste is normal actually, the wanton mee is just normal u like hawker stall, same as the soup and char siew. Yet, i don't like the roasted chicken, but maybe i ordered on late dinner, so is a bit dry. But personally don't like wing part given, prefer breast part. The yong toufu and fried wanton is usual taste. The milk tea also. Like the taste of kopitiam. But i like the presentation, got some chefty feel.
Price-4⭐ Price is quite standard, a bit higher than kopitiam but reasonable consider it is restaurant. Still under B20 category, like RM10-20 for a meal. The portion is standard like normal hawker style.
Atmosphere-3⭐ Just small consider the place it is located. But the feel and ambient is quite nostalgic or authentic.
I will consider 4th tier, that is not recommends to others but will keep in mind if nothing want to eat nearby. Especially wanna feel some nostalgic but don't...
Read moreA modern decor restaurant, it has indoor and outdoor seating. The place is very clean but because maybe the open outdoor area, you can spot flies around. Service is friendly and prompt. The restaurant offers a wide range of foods--4.5* The food itself is pretty average, we ordered a few types of foods like Curry Mee, it is not bad but lacks the aroma of curry spices. The chicken is tender.--4* The toast roti Kaya is one of the best we tasted, crispy outer with tad burnt edges and nice kaya.--4.5* The Wantan noodles has clear and delicious soup, noodle tad on the soft side. The Char Siew is bad, like it was refroze and heated up in a microwave oven.--3* The 滑蛋河 has gluey sauce maybe due to the starch, pretty salty in taste. Prawns are fresh but are not devein(arrr!). The worst happened when a fly dive into our noodles. --3* Lastly, you may take those 5* ratings with a pinch of salt. As they exchange the rating with free drinks. 3.5* for me, tastes need...
Read moreFor the opening day on 2nd Dec, we walked in to have a quick meal. Place looks ok, but the food was a huge disappointment. I mean, if you don't care about food quality, then it's fine.
Ordered the signature Wan Tan Mee, look at the photo. Ans look at the miserable vegetable! Called supervisor, he asked if "we wanted" another vegy. Come on, if your kitchen sends out something like that, you should immediately fix the problem instead of asking customers if you want another vegetable.
If you are a hawker stall, I can understand..but you are charging over RM15 for a plate of wan tan mee!! At least give the customer what they paid for.
The taste is not even there. Hawker stall has much better taste. The lemon tea, no lemon taste...this shows that nowadays people just want to make money versus selling quality food.
I'll think twice before eating here, unless you really don't care about food quality. I hope the management sees this and does...
