Restoran Teochew & Hakka, Ampang — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

2019 Came for lunch and was pretty packed at around 1230. Place is clean and fully air-conditioned. There's a bain marie where u get to select dishes to go with rice or congee. We had our order taken by a lady (presumably the boss) whom is very polite and friendly.

We had :-

1. Yong Tau Foo @ RM2.50/pc - an off the menu item. freshly made upon order and the fish paste filling is rather generous. A little pricey though.
2. Homemade Hakka Abacus @ RM25 - Very good wok hei
3. Canto style Sang Mee @ RM10 - This too has very good wok hei
4. Claypot homemade tofu @ RM22 - Nice and the tofu is silky smooth
5. Plain white rice @ RM1.80
6. Tie Guan Yin Chinese tea @ RM2.50/pax

Overall, lunch was satisfying and we had to pack some of the food home. For 2 person, we over ordered! luckily they don't have lala for the day, otherwise we'll have more food to take away! Sadly, they've taken prawn noodle out from the menu. Parking is a headache but u may park at a nearby sundry shop and walk over!

17/11/23 Lunch-ordered :- a) Curry Grouper fish head @ RM49/s - curry is flavorful and fish head is fresh. b) Fu Yee Yau Mak @ RM19/s - this was a tad salty and kinda pricey for its portion. found a strand of hair in it! ;( c) Foo Yoong omelette @ RM16 - this was ok. d) Tie Guan Yin...

It was a first time visit, but very regraded. The waiters was unbelibabally rude. Were looking for places to take away dinner, decided to try out food from Teochew and Hakka. While stepping in to the restraunt, the way the waiters stared and acted could feel like guests are unwelcome, also no layan at all even there were no other customer around and there were actually 4 waiter at there. Because I'm really tired to switch places, I decided to order a Cantonese Style Kuey Tiao, when the waiter was taking my order, his attitude was fine at the beginning, when he realise I only ordered 1 dish, he face changed and could clearly see that he actually scorn me!

If don't allow people to order just only I dish plese put a sing there and let people know, so we don't waste each other time then...

The order was canceled at the end. Really think twice before step in to this restraunt. Unfortunately, was actually very exited to try out the food because it's Teochew and Hakka, really regraded stepping in to this restraunt. The most unpleasant experience ever. Its such a pity, I herd the food were great there and the ebiant were actually quite good. Never will...

PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE COMING IN. RUDE STAFFS AND BAD SERVICE. the food MIGHT BE ?(I DONT KNOW) nice but KL has alot other better option.

Came here and ordered at 7pm. RUDE FOREIGNER STAFFS AND WAITERS. At 8pm, asked how was the progress politely. The female indonesian waitress was so rude saying " you cant see for yourself alot of ppl still waiting? " Shocked by her response, ask her if she can check whether the chef already started cooking? Been told by other better mannered staff tht the chef havent started cooking our order, was told only 1 chef left. The 2 other tables who came before us sitting with drinks were still waiting for their food. Told them we couldnt wait any longer as elderly with me. We went thrre with good hope but wasted our time there and left the place with total disappointments and there were NO apologies from the staffs.

PLEASE REALLY CONSIDER BEFORE STEPPING IN TO THIS RESTAURANT AS THERE ARE MANY BETTER RESTAURANTS NEARBY THERE WITH GOOD FOOD AND...
