Sorry to take up the time and attention of the TRUE visitors to this page, but there's something you should really be warned. (2018/9/21 updated: And they are now trying to make my review vanish. Good to know my voice has been heard. :) 2018/9/25 Disappeared the second time. I am a friend of Cassandra Zhang who left a 1-star review down here 6 days ago. Before I go on with the story, if you take a look at the date of most 5-star reviews, you will find them surprisingly consolidated as 5 days ago and today. Wow.
So the story on my friend's side is that she didn't get what she paid for (avocado and octopus). After trying to negotiate with the shop manager, she was offered a 20% discount on her next visit as an apology which she didn’t accept because she didn’t see any sincerity in the manager’s attitude. The manager, on behalf of the shop accused my friend of lying about the absence of avocado, blackmailing and being unwilling to communicate. I must say that I really appreciated their speech. They showed their respect for customers very “properly” and scrupulously by providing a CCTV video with a clear editing vestige in the middle (knowing no one else would care enough to spend more than 2 minutes on it) from which I didn’t see when did the staff put in “5 pieces of avocado”. With this video and a chat history with Cassandra, they started moral educating her. To be honest, if I am not Cassandra’s friend, I would buy it. She does seem aggressive in the chat history provided. But she WAS furious because of the shop’s response. She was FRAMED. She was FALSELY ACCUSED of LYING, can’t she be furious? From my point of view, she was being absolutely honest by doing what she promised in the conversation: posting what she experienced on Google Map. How about this shop or this manager? Allow me to ask, did we see any apology or compensation in everything they provided except their words? This is where I came up with a question: If the manager is careful enough to screenshot their WhatsApp dialogue, and if she “immediately offered a free bowl for Cassandra’s next visit but she asked for more” as claimed, why didn’t’ they just show everyone the proof along with the video? Isn't it much more convincing? You are not going to tell me it just happened to be on the phone and you didn’t record, what a coincidence. The shop replied Cassandra with "Things was supposed to get sorted out before this review." I can't agree more (expect that it should be "things WERE supposed to"). And who led to this situation? If there must be someone lying, no offence, what could Cassandra possibly blackmailing from a salad shop? A blanket of avocado? A bad review itself could be a reason for the other side though.
It is not the biggest problem that this salad shop missed some material a customer ordered and paid for. I have every reason to believe it was not on purpose. The problem is they value public opinion so much that they would even choose to play games to frame up against an unsatisfied customer instead of making up. Maybe, I said maybe, there are some misunderstanding in the middle which made the manager believe my friend did get her avocado, but this is way too outrageous to accuse her being “dishonest”. They put an edited video with my friend’s face in it, some chat history in which she was angry and ONLY being angry, wickedly plotted to smear her and thus lower her credit. A salad shop job does not deserve such talent. Try a PR agency, you are welcome.
My dear visitors, thank you for still being with me. If you are visiting this shop, there is a chance you get delicious food and good service as these 5-star reviews told ( "A wise man once said" people tend to boast the most about what they lack). But if you have any opinion against them, you should better watch out for what you are going to be...
Read moreOne of the worst shops here. When ordering, the staff couldn't speak any English or Malay, so he gave the POS system Ipad to order ourself and select our own sides and drinks. After payment, was standing there to wait for receipt but was not given. Food wise, ordered a bibim bowl and salmon poke, both was disappointed. Bibim bowl poke - Chicken chunks was very dry and hard to chew. The sauce given for was also weird, it was super spicy and taste like mala oil. Shoyu salmon poke - raw salmon was warm (quite scary), the shoyu sauce was better. Was given a sides of chicken meatball, it was cold, either was left on the counter for a long time, or was taken out from refrigerator and served straight. Overall, do not recommend this place unless they start improving. Used to be a good concept...
Read moreOrdered tandori chicken rice and coke, it should be a set price, but the staff just order it in alacarte and charge me for the extra fee, when i mentioned why you charge me in ala carte and instead in set price, the staff say but you already pay it, you should mention before you pay. Wth is this? I should mention myself regarding the price is overcharged and the staff can’t just say it? I order this set i still have to mention i order the set? The staff cannot know a tandori chicken plus coke equal a set? Your whole system cannot void a order and reorder a new one? Worst restaurant ever...
