I found out about this sky dining restaurant on TikTok and it offers one of the cheapest budget for candle light dinner which is below than RM200 for 2.
So I booked for a candle light dinner and requested to get this spot. And I did get it. The booking process was smooth and no issues with the admin.
The decoration is good, not too fancy and just nice. Still have some room to put the plates.
The food was fantastic. I have to give credit to the chef. It’s super delicious and we enjoyed our food!
The view was stunning. It’s very nice scenery and beautiful to capture pictures.
We picked outdoor table but didn’t expect it was quite hot. There are fans around but it’s still hot. Not recommended to wear suit or blazers outdoor.
As we were enjoying our food and our scenery, we were quite confused why did they play songs too loud?
I mean we can still hear each other but it’s kinda loud.
And the choices of music / songs are totally disappointing. We were expecting a romantic night, so we need some music that can set the mood.
However they chose to play hip hop musics, such as K-Clique songs? It’s a rap song.. and most of the music genres are about the same.
I did mentioned to the staff to lower the volume or play some instrumental musics instead. Or if you don’t have it, just stop playing any..
But they gave excuses that the music is in the pen drive and they don’t have any instrumental musics. So it was spoiling our mood.
Even some of the guests did feel the same way. It doesn’t feel romantic at all just like we saw in those videos.
So if you are recording videos that you speak in the video, trust me it will be spoiled by the loud hip hop music..
Oh btw, they didn’t do anything about it. The music is still being played even though it’s clearly not at the right place and moment. Like nobody has the common sense to find the right music.
I do hope in the future, they can play instrumental songs that keeps the romantic mood. That will definitely made it so much better experience.
Overall it’s 7/10 because of the music and also the staffs that chose to ignore customer’s request.
Other than that,...
Read moreFound many videos on tiktok reviewing this place. Was attracted by the view of tables facing KLCC, skyroof for OOTDs. So I chose to bring my family here and treat them on a fine-dining with decent view. To summarise, I care more for the ambience rather than just the food.
Yet, I was disappointed. I had my reservation early, as early as the first hour of its opening during the day. Asked for a table facing KLCC because that’s what I saw in TikTok. But then, I was given a table spot at the very corner with only a glimpse of KLCC. Little to no aeration as well. The closer tables are all reserved for couples. So let me question this, aren’t reservations supposed to be first come first serve? I know you charge extras for the couples, but at least CLARIFY this to your customers! Ended up moving inside and gave up my hope for a dinner with view of KL city.
The SKYROOF IS UNDER RENOVATION, and NOTICE IS NOT GIVEN IN ANY OF SCARLET’S SOCIAL MEDIAS. This is not an accusation or a mistake from me. I can tolerate if I truly missed out on this info. But I asked 3 of the staffs, and all of them hesitated to answer, but later all 3 of them clarified that there were NO NOTICE GIVEN. What’s even worse is that they told me it has been under renovation since the early of October, and will be reopen in early of November. What kind of renovation takes that long? My neighbour’s house complete their renovations faster meh. Imagine charging expensive for the food + ambience, just for them to not be able to enjoy one of your main attractions. This is indeed a scam if you ask me.
Food is ok-ok. The only thing I can praise about the experience was how good the service is. Even tho they’re just regular workers, I personally think they did better jobs than the management. Perhaps go on a meeting and rediscuss about the things I appointed above. Mind you the restaurant is mainly about the ambience and view. You’re neglecting the main purpose of having a restaurant on a rooftop if this is not...
Read moreVisited on Saturday. I had called a week earlier to reserve a table, but a staff member from the outlet informed me that reservations weren’t accepted on weekends. However, upon arrival, I noticed that the balcony seating area was fully reserved. When I questioned how reservations were accepted despite being told otherwise, the restaurant staff appeared confused. There seems to be a lack of consistency in the information provided.
Ambience: The atmosphere was great! Being on the rooftop added a unique charm, and there’s even another rooftop level for exploration, perfect for OOTD photos and enjoying the view. The restaurant’s decor, both inside and out, was beautifully done—very cozy and inviting.
Food:
Nachos: 10/10 – Absolutely amazing! I couldn’t get enough. Seoul Crunch Burger: 8/10 – Pretty good overall. Golden Buttermilk Chicken Linguine: 6/10 – Could’ve been better. Buttermilk Ommurice: 7/10 – Reminiscent of nasi pattaya, decent taste. Sumptuous Nasi Lemak: 7/10 – Satisfying, but nothing extraordinary. Chicken Chop: 5/10 – Disappointing. The gravy didn’t have the black pepper flavor it promised and was overly salty. Honestly, I’ve had much better chicken chop for just RM14, with a way better taste. Overall Food Experience: The food overall didn’t quite match expectations. Some dishes felt overpriced for their quality and taste.
Other observations: The music volume was inconsistent—sometimes too loud, other times too soft. On the brighter side, the lighting and seating arrangements were comfortable and well thought out.
Final Thoughts: Would I go again? Yes, for the nachos, the ambiance, and the view. It’s a great place to chill and enjoy the rooftop experience, even if the food could use some...
