If you're a fan of Indonesian cuisine, a visit to newly located Restoran Rise in Kg. Baru is an absolute must. The vibrant atmosphere and the tantalizing aroma of spices welcome you as soon as you arrive.

The selection is nothing short of massive, showcasing a variety of dishes that truly highlight the richness of Padang cuisine. From gulai urat keting to satay padang, each dish is crafted with care and authenticity. The pecal and siput sedut is a delightful surprise that balances freshness with bold flavors.

The popularity of this spot is evident, with a constant stream of customers savoring their meals. The communal dining experience enhances the enjoyment, as you can see families and friends sharing dishes and enjoying each other's company.

Service is generally quick, allowing you to dive into the delicious food without much wait. Prices are reasonable, making it accessible for everyone to indulge in these culinary delights.

Overall, the Padang food scene in Kg. Baru is a feast for the senses. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Indonesian food or a newcomer, you’ll find something to love. Don't miss out on this...

My go to for a quick Padang experience every other day. My go to is their Soto special, extra begedil and Satay Minang, while my date will have her pechal. I didn't like the nasi padang pricing, especially when the "old man" calculates your dish. Suddenly everything becomes expensive. These days the young guys are making the rounds and the prices have become very reasonable and enjoying the nasi padang again. Yeah, we "merajuk" for a year by the cut throat price the "old man" charged us and didn't even look at the rice section. His daughter couldn't do anything even when we complained and he was adamant to charge what he charged, and we eat the same dish and portions everytime we visit. Haih, drama. Anyways, it's my go to...

If you are a die hard fan of Nasi Padang, you should pay this place a try. One of the famous Nasi Padang joints in Kuala Lumpur.

The food is authentic, very tasty and so delicious. The prices will not burn your pockets and really worth the value for each ringgit spent. Most people do not go into Nasi Padang restaurants because of the high prices charged. But this place is affordable.

The only set back is the ambiance which is may not be comfortable to some. And, the restaurant is also small, you may feel crampy and hot.

Parking is also a big problem. The best is to park at The Tamu Hotel, and walk towards the restaurant. It takes less than 5...

I would recommended going to Garuda opposite the road. But restoran Ros is among the popular places for minang food but it is slightly overrated. Guess this is the power of social media. It's located right in the middle of the famed chow kit road. A variety of dishes to choose from, especially daging dendeng and tunjang lemak. There is also a section that sells satay as well as gado gado and pecal- they are adequate. However restaurant cleanliness is not a priority here, the floor is not that clean and the sink clogs. Apart from not being clean, also don't expect to friendly faces from the staff here. Two star for the poor cleanliness.
