For those looking for exotic food with unique taste, this cafe will be the right place. Stepping into this cafe one will find although it's simple and decent, but nothing is disorganised and even the tables and chairs are of good quality.

I'm used to be a coffee lover but as I enter this cafe which serves a very good kombucha, I was convinced to give it a try(pineapple kombucha), and certainly it impressed me by its unique, mild sweet, rich and pleasant taste. Good to the last drop and the next is the food menu, although the variety is just nice, but each plates was prepared with care and passion. The seabass donburi(specialty) certainly well qualified for its pricing with its own unique taste and sides.

On my second visit, I have ordered an Amigo Pollo Tartine. Exotic as it seems, the taste is more on sourish side and the bread is a bit hard to chew. Matcha latte is just nice with proper portion of Matcha flavour. Banana(seasonal) kombucha is refreshing, mild sweetened and highly recommended. Matcha desert has generous portion of green tea bitterness, thus reserving its favour only for matcha lovers .

Third visit, tried Chicken Roulette and Torita's Fish and Chips which are marvelous. The fried rice for kids is a never let down too. As for the Triple C Burnt Cheesecake, it's a bit too sweet but flavour wise is superb and rich. Fruit drink wise is a bit overpriced for the blunt taste.

If you happen to get back to your senses during your visit, you will realised this is a pet-friendly cafe. Many well-dressed patrons almost occupying the entire cafe at most time. The air-conditioning was slightly tuned to suit the environment of pets but it will be better if it's slightly colder.

Overall it's a cafe worth visiting frequently, as I'm very impressed with the F&B quality and service of the staffs. Pricing has increased slightly(some food had raised by RM2) but quality has well-maintained. You will expect well-presented foods here, although taste wise there's still small room of...

Tbh, my review will be 2 star. 1 star for kitchen people because they were nice enough to accommodate customer request and ask for feedback for improve purpose. Another 1 star for the nice cafe deco. I feel all 3 staffs just working because they need to work. Like no passion for hospitality industry. 1 second smile in front customer then change face straight. Like forced politeness eh. As if they’re not paid enough salary to perform.

They served us a spoiled hojicha cheesecake and after asking them why it tasted awfully sour and bad, they manipulate customer saying missed recipe to put lemon so it’s sour. Hello it’s obviously spoiled. When they asked us to choose another cake and we chose tiramisu, the boss is more concerned about RM4 extra and asked us to pay more.

So cheap mentality boss who cares more about money than customer’s well being. Ownself can’t take care of quality assurance but want to charge customer more. Can avoid this kind of cafes. Later get food poisoning and get blamed “karen” all the while knowing it’s their own fault. ps : it’s ridiculous to eat pasta in those pans. Jokes on you because you didn’t have to replace a cake if you’re so sure it was fresh and “soooo good” 😂😂. And yes, please do enjoy the review permanently. We all know what happens to f&b who can’t take...

Hello. Goodbye.

Try spotting the two words when you enter and leave Scoby 2.0. I felt so pleased when I spied the two small words on the way in and out of this minimalist, warm cafe with super friendly and capable staff.

In between hello and goodbye, we loved the food. We ordered Salmon ochazuke with honey rice Seabass donburi with seaweed rice

Both were excellent. A few days later, my wife was treated to salmon ochazuke at a downtown restaurant helmed by a michelin-starred chef. She said the salmon here was way better.

I was disappointed by the looks of the seabass donburi. Honestly. But when I bit into the rice, it was so, so good. We voted the seabass donburi as our favourite dish because of the rice. What a surprise.

"Stupid question," I said to Renee, our wait staff. "what's Scoby?"

"Scoby is the Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast," she rattled off. She pointed to the frothy stuff bubbling on the surface of the Kombucha urns above the cashier. "it's necessary for making Kombucha."

Renee and Pow, the other wait staff, were super friendly and helpful throughout our evening.

At Scoby, we experienced the symbiotic culture between great food and wonderful customer service.

As we said goodbye, I hope to say...
