I remembered coming here several years ago and left with a rather underwhelming food experience but decided to revisit and see if the food now manages to change my mind. Parking here during meal hours can be stressful so do plan your visit ahead of time. When we arrived today at 2 pm, we were met with a queue but thankfully we were seated after a short wait. We went for an assortment of orders just to taste as much as we could their range of offerings. I'll not go into the names as I do not wish to confuse anyone but simply put, here are some of my verdicts. Their soup udon was flavorful enough and their noodles had a good bouncy chew. The tempura was nicely coated and fried without that thick annoying crusty batter. The chawanmushi was average in my opinion. The grilled beef came in a sweet albeit appetising sauce with sliced onions and the meat was acceptable in texture (one can opt for the doneness as desired and I requested for medium). The sushi in general was decent although I must say the better ones were the salmon, prawn and the unagi sushi. Their recipe of Japanese mayo was commendable in my opinion lending a good richness and creaminess to your sushi. The torched sushi weren't too bad either. However, I felt the other sushi e.g. tuna, squid were just average at best. Having said all that and given the price point, I still think that this was a good value for japanese offerings. Compared to my last visit, the food has improved but don't compare it to other expensive Japanese restaurants because well, the overall dine in experience and quality of food here were good given again the prices...

Food Tastiness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1.Recommended -Fried Pork bento was tasty, best to eat with white rice, alongside with miso soup, there were 🍉 and 🥗 with sesame sauce too -Salmon bento was good too with side dishes, however I still prefer the pork bento over this Lol.

Broth Ramen: -Pork broth ramen to those love heavy taste, pork was well-cooked, I prefer this over other ramen 😆 -Kamo (Duck) ramen, not much comment -Teriyaki chicken ramen, the chicken dices were overcooked as it was really dry.

Side dishes ordered: -Fried garlic rice: The fragrance makes us drools, small portion but delicious, suggest to order for kids. Its portion considered as side dishes to us.😲 -Gyoza was considered dry too, must eat it with vinegar. -Mentai Oyster: Only 1 Hotate per serving. -Squid: It's fresh*Photo is not for illustration, it really looks medium size, not shrink. Hope the portion could be more. -Chuka Wakame: It's good for health actually.

Green tea was refillable

Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Price considered affordable as compare to many other Japanese cuisine

Staff Friendliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very responsive, proactively to serve green tea when they see our cups were half drank. Of course please expect there might be delays because they are dashing in and out to serve food and customers.

Parking: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Limited parking during peak hours

No reservation required however it's crowded during meal time and it showcases that the tastiness of meals attracted families and friends to dine in. Staff will advise to leave names in waiting list if it's full house...

live in serdang but usually go for Puchong branch, far but worth for their service. Bukit jalil branch worker really cannot pakai 😅 I order rice and chicken namba in puchong branch they serve them together but this branch they serve my rice first once they received the order then I have to wait like 5 mins or more then other dishes only come up ( not even my chicken namba) my rice is already cold lo 😅😅I think they need to have more common sense la and other than that once the handroll is ready to serve can pls quickly serve it ??? As the seaweed texture will become lembik 🥲 really bad la today handroll seaweed not crunchy at all 🙂‍↔️ and one thing I noticed that my handroll is done by another side of the shop, cause when he serve he come in from the door where I come in , so many cars outside so many dust so u just let my sashimi handroll pass thru those shit ?? Omg please change this , I know it’s very convenient for u guys to just walk thru like that from the other side of the shop but please think of food that u gonna serve me as you are not serving me fresh dusty sashimi handroll right ?🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

Rating: 5 / 5 stars 🤩 : Variety, value, quality 🤧 : Waiting time, early closing I have never found it so easy to give an eatery 5 stars. There was a bit of a queue (~30 minutes) on a Friday evening but that was frankly inevitable. What was great about the queuing process was that guests are all encouraged to view the menu and place their orders online whilst waiting for their seats. This not only helps make waiting less torturous , it shortens the waiting time within the restaurant. Once seated, a waiting staff confirms your online order and proceeds to fire. Regardless of the items ordered - raw: sashimi, sushi, or cooked sets - they all arrived promptly and at about the same time. The latter is so incredibly important but so often overlooked for social dining. Food quality was superb. Salmon sashimi was nice and fat, and the salmon dons were great. Salmon aburi was fresh and well torched to avoid overcooking the raw fish chunks. The stir fried beef was supremely good - incredible umami that blew my mind. The spicy floss maki was something unique - so unauthentic is an amazing way. It was savoury and had a good kick. Tempura was fresh, and had a light and crisp batter. The overall damage was under RM150 - what a steal.
