Secret Recipe (Taman Danau Kota) — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Had two bad experiences there. This is the second experience. So I bought a whole cheese cake from there. I asked the worker there to keep the cake for me, I said I pay it first and I'll come back later to take it. SHE say ok. The next thing I know is after 20++ minutes, when I come back, the cake was already at the table with "Happy birthday"(which I asked her to write on it). What I'm disappointed is, the cake was left on the table at least 20 MINUTES without any worker watching it. OBVIOUSLY, the other workers do not know the cake is mine until I show them the receipt and ask them "is that mine". Afterwards, they took another 5 more minutes until they FINALLY START packing the cake for me =). There's a new girl who just stand there and did ntg, she didn't even lend a hand to others workers =), didn't even ask them whether they need a help. What worse, this girl at first told me the cake I want is all sold out. What ever cake I choose, she say all sold out. Until another worker come towards me and tell me the cake I first wanted, they still have.

I understand sometimes they are too busy. But at least use common sense. Ask someone if you not sure. And also put the cake back into the fridge, that's how you KEEP a cake right? That's how u maintain their freshness. REALLY DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME. I did give a chance. I give my trust and went back to the same place and buy their stuff. So disappointed with this branch that we were cheated!!!

We went to this branch for dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. But I felt cheated intentionally by the manager of this branch! First of all, we ordered our food and I asked on the free ice cream. The staff said there’s only 1 free ice cream per table. So we proceeded to ask if there could be 2 because we are spending more than 80. The staff said no. But later on the manager came and said she could try to split the bill BUT I couldn’t use the promotional item. I didn’t know how it worked until I saw the bill. It was a total cheat!!! First, this free ice cream doesn’t state that it couldn’t come with promotional item. So she charged me full price for the promotional item! Secondly, she charged me for the second ice cream. She could have told me earlier because at the moment of paying, the ice cream was not served yet! I could opt not to have the second ice cream which was charged!!! She was the one who could see the bill and I couldn’t until it’s printed out. And when it’s printed out, no changes could be made. What a liar and cheater! I wouldn’t go back to this...

I like the environment here. The setting and arrangement is truly nice, unique and comfortable. Not over the top but yet still good to the eyes. The dessert of course has remain the best thing and reason to come here for but the milkshake drink is definitely losing its touch.

They really wanted to save the ice cream or something im not sure but all I can taste is plain milk. The cordon bleu is not as nice as how it used to be but still alright but something should be done to ensure that the food quality remain tip top.
