I’ve been a loyal vegetarian customer since the early days of your Mid Valley outlet, and this restaurant has always held a special place for me. Sadly, over time, I’ve noticed a steady decline in both food quality and service.
Just recently, I ordered the ginger paste mushroom soup, something I used to enjoy regularly. To my shock, the portion and ingredients had been drastically reduced. The soup base was watered down, the vegetables sparse, and the brown rice mee sua barely present. It felt like a shadow of what it used to be. Several other dishes also didn’t match what was advertised on the menu.
What saddens me most is the loss of the warm, attentive service that once defined this place. Many of the long-serving staff who truly made the experience memorable, seem to have left since the pandemic downsizing and outlet closures. I’m not sure what’s happening behind the scenes, but it’s clear that the overall management and quality control need serious attention.
Let’s not forget: this Bangsar outlet caters to a niche crowd. Most diners here aren’t just passing by, they’re vegetarians seeking quality and consistency. Great food and service are everything. Without them, even loyal customers like me may stop coming.

Read moreWe came for Lei Cha, and kept going back because of the atmosphere, the healthy food, and the hospitality of Chandra.
This was the first time we had Lei Cha, and we had two to three pots each meal.
We really enjoyed trying the different foods they offered with the ones sticking out to us right now being fried lion's mane mushroom, rendang, kong poh and multiple other mushroom dishes. The only dish I would not recommend is the fried mixed mushroom snack. It seemed to be fried differently than the lion's mane mushroom. Overall healthy tasty food.
We really enjoyed getting to know Chandra, and his service was exceptional. We witnessed him handle a full restaurant including people sitting outside while remaining calm and observant. The two in the back were also able to keep up with the demand.
The whole experience left an impression on...

We are annoyed with our hesitation. We are sorry we were prejudiced about this place. It is easy to just expect we must eat meat.
This place was a revelation in flavour, textures and presentation. Price is very good too. Broth and miso taste great. Spicy food is flavoursome spicy not just hot. Best dumplings I have had for a long time. Because there were a symphony of different tastes in each bite. I really enjoyed the fried rice. Wife loved the noodles. Parents loved the red bean soup. I do not offer 5 stars very often but feel this place is a treat and so deserves to be elevated above the other “lucky...
