I loved my time at Nowhere Hostel, I initially planned on staying for a week and ended up staying for a month, and coming back again after returning to KL. The hostel is quite small, with just 12 beds, and there are a handful of long-term residents, making this feel so homely and comfortable compared to other hostels I have stayed in. The location is slightly outside the city centre, but very easy to get to, as it is just 2 stops from KL Sentral station. There is a big mall close by as well as a Chinese, an Indian and a Malaysian (which is 24 hours) restaurant all within a minute from the hostel. ||||The owners, Ida and Alex, are so nice and will happily help you with anything you need. A simple breakfast is available every day, with the choice of cereal or toast and peanut butter and jam - the coffee included is great!||||The WiFi is really fast and they also have a TV with Netflix and a PS4 that everyone is free to use as they please.||||It's very good value for money and I'll definitely be staying here anytime I return to Kuala Lumpur...
Read moreI have just returned from one night at the property. ||||A new Kuala Lumpur backpackers hostel within easy reach of KL’s main attractions, NoWhere Hostel is a friendly hostel with basic facilities. Set along the shop lots of Jalan Bangsar/Jalan Riong area, the whole area attracts a steady crowd of locals and expats as Bangsar is famous for its eateries and its positive vibes.||||Sleeping just 12 guests, it’s quiet and intimate. Key card access keeps unwanted people out of this place. Each bed has its own power outlet and light. Free Wi-Fi can be accessed from around the hostel. Tea and coffee making facilities are also available when you’re in need of a quick break and pick-me-up. Prices are reasonable and the vibe is relaxed.||||But then again, here’s some key consideration:||1. Currently it hard to locate the property as no proper signboard. Better to call first.||2. Located on the 2nd floor but there is no lift.||3. There’s nothing...
Read moreI am a solo female traveler, and I stayed at the hostel for a month and felt very comfortable the whole time. I think the price is reasonable for what you get. The AC works well. Even when it was full, it did not feel overcrowded or noisy, which I personally like. The owners are very nice and respectful of guests' wishes.
As for the area, it felt safe and there are train/subway stations and bus stops nearby which is convenient to go around the city or even to surrounding towns (don't listen to Google Maps. The app thinks you have to make big 30 min. loops to reach them but there are pedestrian overpasses to avoid this, so it takes less than 10 min.). I also liked that the hostel is on a busy street where on one side you have more developments (malls, train stations, etc.) and on the other side, there is a clean nice neighborhood (Bangsar) to...
