Adu Sugar is located on the first floor but it is relatively easy to miss it. I'm sure they wont get too many walk-in tho. Which is a shame because the food was good. First-off I love the decor and I'm sure they put some thought into it. We ordered 2 mee bandung, a nasi lemak bungkus ans a pasembur and an onde2 cake?! The pasembur was excellent with its darkened peanut sauce albeit different from what we usually find. The ingredients, which included pcs of watermelon, were crunchy and the sauce was delightful. They left out the bean sprouts which I preferred. The mee banding was good and it was a large portion too. The only gripe I have was that it lacked the usual sweetness which I quite like. The nasi lemak bungkus was good. Perhaps a tad plain though. I ordered the onde2 for dessert but I should have paid more attention to the descriptor. What arrived was a cake. Yup!! A sponge onde2 cake with gula melaka as dressing. A little hard to describe as I am old fashioned so I will leave that to you to experience. Service was good. With drinks the bill came...

Went again. Food was very unique. I like the following g very much rambutan curry (unique and delicious) duck rendang (yummy) Kluang coffee with santan and gula Melaka. (It is very strong coffee but great) The menu is Johor-ish. Very good indeed. The painter of the art pieces in the restaurant is the chef himself. 👍

SEVEN MONTHS AGO Decor and ambiance is very very nice. Gives you a sense of walking into a restaurant trapped in a time warp…. in a good way. Lots to look around. Many interesting and unique nooks and cranny. There were only two of us so we could only try a few dishes. Johor laksa - 5* out of 5. Very good thick gravy with lots of fish. Carbonara - 5* tasty with proper depth. Kaya gula melaka truffle - 5* unique combination of local ingredients in a western dessert. Banana chocolate brownie - 3*.

Just 3 things: Quite pricey but in this case I don’t mind paying a premium as the food is good. However, some might find it too pricey. It was a hot afternoon and the air con wasn’t working hard enough, so I...

Location & Ambience: The restaurant's location is a bit crowded and parking can be a challenge. However, once inside, the classical and Bali-inspired ambiance transports diners to a beautiful and special dining experience. The decor adds a touch of elegance, making it an ideal spot for a unique meal.

Food: Opting for Malay traditional dishes, the flavors are above average but lack standout elements. Despite the hefty price tag, it's evident that diners are paying for the ambiance rather than the food itself. While enjoyable, the culinary offerings may not justify the cost for some patrons.

Service: The service shines with friendly and accommodating staff, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, the quick food preparation time adds to the overall efficiency of the meal.

Overall: For those seeking a unique dining environment with cozy warmth, this restaurant is worth a try. While the food may not be the highlight, the ambiance and service combine to create a...
