We stumbled upon Minji Bak Kut Teh by chance as we were searching for breakfast in Pudu. We ordered :-

Read moreI'm not sure what to make of this place. The main dish bak kut teh tastes different from most in Klang Valley. I can't figure it out. At least the Singapore one is easily identified as pepper soup more than it is the Malaysian type of bkt but this one, it's a question mark for me.
Atmosphere reminds me of olden days kopitiam but that night I was there, there was a table of Chinese nationals.. relatively young but they didn't look like students to me. Maybe they work around there...hmmm....
Parking is non-existence without breaking the law.
Some Chinese quotes on hung or painted around but they're not your usual Chinese idioms etc.
As weird as it can get....some people may like it though.... probably perfect for a cult movie...
Read moreCame across this BKT shop because it’s Lunar New Year and everywhere else is full. I grew up in KL and definitely had try many different BKTs around here.
Though it’s rare to have one that is on par with the good ones in Klang, but there certainly are decent ones around.
I would not rate Minji as decent because of the lack of fragrants of the rich herbs. There certainly are better tasting ones. But Minji deserves the three stars for the cleanliness they handled the pork and the intestines.
Not a bad place, but not one that I would recommend to travelers who wants a good taste of true BKT without the hassle of going all the way to Klang.
