Why Public House? Do you know that the term "pub" is shortened from public house? It is defined as establishment providing alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premise. The original and traditional pub is found primarily in Britain, but soon expand to British influence territory.

The Public House in The Sphere, Bangsar South is operated by the Vintry group. So if you find similarity in the food, please do not be surprised.

What I like about The Public House

  1. large and spacious with high cabinets displaying both wines and whiskies to choose from.. I have to use ladders to reach the bottles at the top.
  2. one corner with plush sofa and tables for intimate drinking session, while another corner with regular table and bench + chairs.
  3. similar food menu with their Vintry outlets.

◾Signature roast pork - perhaps the default order for most wine drinkers as the meats pair well with wines, or whisky. ◾Bacon + egg pizza - generous with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce on top of the bacon and egg.. anything with bacon is always good for me and this is no exception ◾gourmet sausages - grilled to perfection and great with wines. ◾grilled baby octopus with Asian spice mix, shaoxing wine and sesame seeds. ◾Claypot "mousetails" - the rendition of classic lou shu fun topped with prawn, pork, runny duck eggs and pork crouton. They make one mean Claypot lou shu fun ◾grilled salmon steak with lemongrass oil and leek vichyssoise... Asked for medium and medium it was delivered. No complaints. ◾USA Bone-in Chop with quinoa and baby spinach - something to satisfy the carnivore in me. ◾6-Hour braised pork belly with couscous, Thai salad, pork glaze, coriander and crushed nuts..

They have gained popularity as a watering hole in Bangsar South area and was frequently packed especially on weekends. Reservation is highly recommended in order to have a good time with your loved ones or...

Food : serving roasted Pork belly, pizza, pasta, local Chinese noodle such as Claypot Lou Shu Fun etc.

Roast Pork Belly taste is nice, but during my second bite the roasted skin was to hard for me to bite (not crunchy).

Chicken chop with tomato sauce Spaghetti taste more to sour on the sauce, noodle texture are ok, but the chicken chop was tasteless (only have original chicken meat taste); I think this piece was not merinate well.

All the time favourite Fish and Chips with lots of mayonnaise on top of it and served with salad. Taste ok and standard taste.

Beef Bolognese Spaghetti don't taste got beef with the spaghetti (but actually got mined beef meat with mild taste of tomatoes sauce.

Aligo Olio spaghetti with Vegetable taste ok.

Alcohol cake : Rum and Rasin chocolate mousse, black forest rum cake, and caramel whiskey cake all are strong with alcohol taste. Burt cheese cake cheese taste are ok and more to Sweetness taste.

Nice and modern decor, nice atmosphere, Service staff are friendly and provide standard service.

Overall are still worth to taste out their foods, a place good for chill out with friends and family gathering for those drinks are recommend to...

The Public house Bangsar Owners/Manager,

We are very disappointed with the service here rendered to us by your staff, it is totally unacceptable and we are not even sure if your restaurant even knows what customer service is….

We ordered a set of beer (happy hour )when I was the only one here and was waiting for others to arrive and your staff could see that I was alone and didn’t even bother to ask how many glasses to be served first and just brought out the entire set. I was alone with all these glasses on the table. then asked your staff if the glasses can be kept in the fridge, so that it would still be cold when my friend got here , there is only another friend coming and still too many glasses sitting on the table and your staff just gave the answer, NO. Totals asked 3 of them .. the answer still No ,luckily we didn’t oder 10glass of beer , can’t imagine if they serve it all together :(

This is a bad experience and we will never recommend friends and people coming here in light of what happened. Recommend that you train your staff to be ‘customer centric’ then to think that they own the...

Tried this place for dinner and it was amazing. A really good place if you are craving pork dishes. Ordered their signature "roast pork" (siew yok) and it was heavenful. Very flavourful and the skin crust was so crispy. Was really shocked and surprised by their hokkien mee as well. Like the meat to noodle portion was shocking. Like 50 50 meat to noodles. Alot of prawns and it was so generous with the meat portions. The taste was great too. Can really challenge even the established kopitiam hokkien mee places. My friends ordered their other dishes as well. The Spanish was nice too. Very nice presentation and taste. The spare ribs are good too. Service was good too. Waiters are nice, attentive and always checking on us. Overall, its a nice place to eat and drink and chill with friends. If you are working in Bangsar South or around the area, really recommend this place on Friday nights.
