CASSIA Restaurant — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

Stayed at the hotel, parkroyal Langkawi for four nights. It’s probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The sorroundings and the premises are impeccable. During our stay we ate outside the resort and tasted delicious food at restaurants just outside the hotel. For the last night we decided to try cassia. Much to our disappointment. After sitting for our table for about 20 minutes we were asked for what we wanted to order. We ordered the seafood platter (around 160 rm) as a starter for the four of us. We then explained that we wanted a main each, and order one main dish each. After about 20 more minutes we got our drinks. After about one hour after we sat down at our table they brought in one main. We explained that we ordered a starter to share first, and the server looked like a question mark. He took away the main and after ten more minutes they brought the other three mains. We continued to explained that we’ve ordered a seafood platter as a starter. The servers were even more like question markes and asked us again what we ordered. We went through the orders again with the servers. At this point we’ve been seated at the table for 1,5 hours…. After another 10 minutes the seafood platter arrived. It was beautiful and very tasty. As sooned as we finished it our mains arrived… unfortunately it was probably the same dishes that they tried to serve us 40 minutes earlier as they were all cold. The satays were cold. The curry mee was cold. The pasta with pesto was cold. Not very fresh. Not very nice. When overlooking the service you can see many flaws. They have no system. The servers are running around not knowing that they’re colleague is doing. The Kitchen probably has no idea what’s going on and just cooking they’re mind out. Usually servers have they’re designated tables. Not here. It’s total chaos. The seafood platter is nice. We ate the cold mains. We didn’t want to wait longer time for our food. The dinner took us three hours in total…. I hope we don’t get sick from the mains waiting around . The hotel is out of this world. The restaurant is the total opposite. Avoid and go...

Our dining experiences at CASSIA Restaurant left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Situated in a picturesque location with breathtaking views, the restaurant offers an exquisite culinary journey that tantalizes the taste buds and delights the senses.

Our first visit was to the Seafood BBQ Buffet by the Beach on Saturday, and it exceeded all expectations. The buffet boasted a wide array of delectable dishes, with the live pasta station stealing the show. My child had his first taste of pasta here, and it quickly became his new favorite. The ambiance of dining on the beach added an extra layer of magic to the experience.

On Sunday, we returned for the Mother's Day buffet, where the restaurant went above and beyond to celebrate mothers with thoughtful gestures like red flower cupcakes and drinks. Additionally, we had the pleasure of celebrating my son's 3rd birthday during the same visit. The dessert spread was impressive, offering a delightful finale to the meal.

Driven by our love for the place, we returned for dinner once more. My son, in particular, was enamored with the food, devouring the entire kid's portion of chicken nuggets and vegetable soup with white rice.

CASSIA Restaurant at PARKROYAL was a wonderful part of our trip. The food was delicious, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming vibe. It’s perfect for families like ours—we were travelling with kids and all had a wonderful time.

One of the things we loved most was the breakfast. The variety was incredible—there was something for everyone! From local favourites to international options, fresh fruits, pastries, eggs made to order, and kid-friendly choices, it was a great way to start our day.

Whether it was a casual breakfast or our special family dinner, every visit felt like a treat. But what truly made our experience special at Cassia was the amazing service. My wife and I want to say a big thank you to Norziah, Nurul, and Nazirah. They were always so kind, friendly, and helpful. They remembered our preferences, checked on us with genuine care, and made us feel really welcome. Their smiles and warm service made a big difference and meant a lot to us as a family.
