Don't bother, they ripped us off and the food was terrible. I don't love leaving bad reviews, but this experience warrants one. They told us they were out of all the sizes of shawarma except the largest (most expensive), but when our order came out we were served the smallest size. There was almost no meat in the shawarma either. We also got a side of yogurt with cucumbers and the "yogurt" was the consistency of water and tasteless. The hummus was a joke too. On top of the food the waitress didn't check in with our table, we had to find a staff member to get a bill because the waitress left the restaurant before we had paid. To add insult to injury they tacked a 10% "service charge" fee onto our meal. It's not listed on the menu, as it usually is at restaurants in SE Asia if it's going to be added to the bill, and the staff member claimed all restaurants must do that here, which is a lie, we've eaten at tons of places around Langkawi and few charge the obligatory %10. If they do add it it's usually at a fancy place with at least some service and listed on the menu. They also seemed to be conveniently out of the cheap options of food, which may or may not be true, but they definitely gave us the short end of the stick for what really wasn't all that budget of a meal....

After visiting this place for the first time, we were totally blown away. We are always looking for restaurants that we can recommend to our guests. But the 2nd visit with the same order of lamb skewers was a disastrous disappointment. For the first time we got a glass of white wine, with the glass not even being filled 1/8 cl (RM18). However, after a complaint, refills were given. Mixed appetizer platter was OK! Then came the "lamb skewers" (RM39), which weren't skewers, just fibrous meat that was overcooked. It was chewy and not eatable. That would be suitable for the Redang dish, but not for grilling or frying. My complaint was only nodded and nothing more. Why do you save on the wrong food when you can win guests with good quality, regardless of whether they are tourists or how we live here. I'm shocked at the poor reviews of this place. I ordered the vegetable moussaka and chicken plate. Both were fresh and excellent. the chicken was grilled to perfection and the moussaka was flavorful.

I should add I am a very picky eater.

Service was "Langkawi style". So slow and inefficient. The serving girl had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I hardly ever say this, but if she's not a friend or family member the owner should fire her. Other tables, others tables of LOCALS complained about her to her face. THEY said she was slow. No. Langkawi service is not "Western style" as in fake smiles, prompt service, over attentiveness. But this service was poor to another degree.
