Red Sky Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

We ordered steam boat, one of the local food of Malaysia i guess which costs around 80 RM for two. We did not have any idea about this dish. After few minutes later the employees of this restaurant Kept a stove on our table.. me and my husband were amused to see this.. Few minutes later they bought some half cooked sea shells, octopus, fish, squid etc in a plate and some noodles and eggs in another plate with two different kind of cooked spicy and sweet soup in a pan. Then they lit the stove and told us to put all the food items in the soups and keep stirring for 10 minutes. Bad Food For High Price

The food looks beautiful, but tastes pretty average, prawns are chewy, lamb smells badly, steak is well-done and chewy. Chicken satay is good, but it’s even better at night market for a small price. Sauces are good.

Service is meh… Waiters don’t know English very well. Wanted drinks recommendations, but they can’t communicate it to you. Also the staff doesn’t communicate between each other, we asked to refill our drinks and while we waited 2 separate waiters asked if we want to refill our drinks. Drinks are ok.

Dessert was also not good.

Be wary, they add 10% “service charge”. We’ve spend 330 MYR for 2 people. We deeply regret coming here and spending so much for so little.

Food was served at different stages and ruined our dinner as we weren’t all eating at the same time. Asked for a small beer and owner served a big one and pretended he didn’t understand what we ordered. Fish and chips was clearly frozen stuff and not fried long enough, the fried rice was nothing special and the fried egg on top was tasteless with a very pale yolk. On the side there were cheap frozen samosas and spring rolls, perfect for tourists who don’t know better. The live music was so loud and intrusive, no wonder nobody wanted to sit inside but owner still wanted a high volume.
