Arang Cafe - Kilang Makan — Restaurant in Malacca

Once stepped in, I was impressed with the nice comfy cafe space, a modern barber ‍♀️‍♂️shop & a motocyclists favourite shop within the cafe compound

Personally I love the white ⚪️ helmet holded in her hand in 1 of the photo captured & shared here, yes, it has a motorcyclists shop to own a collection of helmets, tshirts, jackets etc.

It’s more than just Malacca cendol served here, plenty of tasty foods served here e.g. Nasi Kg Hulu, roti john, asam pedas ramen etc. Its cendol with various toppings available for your pick to enjoy

Though I am not a spicy food lover, but but I really love & enjoyed the asam pedas ramen served here. Really a must try. So delicious to enjoy a bowl, thought sweating due to the spicyness, I really love my bowl served here

Underneath the lovely atmosphere of this restaurant lies problems after problems dumped on customers. Is it the customer's duty to tell the server to get their food? We paid for food and service. But clearly, service wasn't there. We had to ask the server MULTIPLE times about our drinks, and the drinks weren't even ordered in the system. Why even have servers when you can order in the system? Even then, while asking the server about our food, he was unresponsive, literally pausing before asking the same question again. Some of the food arrived more than one hour later, and even then there was one item we haven't received up until we left. Food was nice, but that was it. I...

I ordered Ikan pari asam pedas with rice. Rice was old rice (probably yesterday’s), was cold and hard. When I asked the lady who served, she was reluctant to answer so she asked another mamak waiter to attend me.

I requested rice to be replaced and he brought me another plate of cold rice. And he said that they don’t have warm rice now but this one was cooked recently just a while ago, he thinks I can’t differentiate old rice and freshly cooked ones; I literally know how to cook bruh.

RM17 for a bowl of ikan pari pieces with old rice. I just ate the fish and left the rice.

Never ever go to this shop people. There are plenty of good...
