Never in my life that I had such terrible experience with a restaurant that the owner was downright rude and cocky.
I told one of the waitress that there were 4 uncooked mussels. She left and came back saying there was specific way/utensil to open it which could not be right or even true since the other mussels we had was cooked through.
She left and came another guy which I assumed is the manager. He asked if we wanted replacement but later said, "Since you have finished eating, do you want a refund instead?" which we said sure. Since we were giving feedback, my sister also told him that the portion size was considerably small for 3 pax. The manager offered for a full refund.
Then a couple of minutes later, he came back with the chef which we assumed as the owner as well who was so arrogant and flexed his overseas education opening that restaurant.
Dude, when customers give you feedback, just listen. You served uncooked mussels. It's either uncooked or not fresh. Obviously we would only got to know that while we were eating.
Didn't your fancy school overseas teach you about food safety? Imagine what would happen if any of your customers ate your uncooked/not fresh mussels. Hospital bills, escalation to authority or legal intervention to name a few.
Your manager offered full refund. Our intention was to inform you that you are serving uncooked seafood and to check on the portion size. We were done eating and about to leave and your manager offered a refund. Any customers would say yes. If you can't afford to give refund, why did you offer? Your manager has the audacity to lie and said we asked for discount? What more can I say, the staff is the reflection of the management.
I work in service industry and also deal with food safety. This is a hazard that any sound mind business owner would want to avoid.
Your own lousy behaviour would be the downfall of your own business. Tak payah sembang Melayu taknak tolong Melayulah. Mana budi bahasa you bila bercakap dengan pelanggan siap perlekehkan pelanggan and suruh pelanggan pergi makan tempat lain kalau nak murah.
Pengajaran: Belajar food safety. Jangan bongkak sangat belajar obersi kalau bayar mahal-mahal pun tak diajar pasal food safety.

We ate anyway because too hungry. Had to order from a machine like McDonalds, pay first before you eat. At the end we found unopened = uncooked seafood so we told the waitress, she said she would give us a tool to open the uncooked mussels. Obviously the staffs here don’t know anything about food safety. Manager came and started telling us how it’s cooked like we were idiots. Clearly he doesn’t know anything either. Since we were already complaining I told the manager I think the portion is small. He said I should’ve told them earlier, I said I didn’t wanna complain but since we already complain about the uncooked seafood I might as well told him what I think of the portion size. He said “Ok, since you’ve finished eating, and you’re unsatisfied, I’ll give you a full refund and take this as a feedback to improve our restaurant.” His exact words. He told me he was gonna give me cash. Few min later the chef/owner, the manager & waitress (holding cash) came to our table. Owner started talking loudly, being very rude, insulting & condescending. He said we should have gone to some cheap local seafood restaurants. He counted all the corns we ate, not seafood but corns. Like why? He then flexed about studying to cook overseas. Mkay. He said he can’t give us refund since we finished eating. I told him I didn’t ask for a refund, the manager offered. The manager acted innocent & surprised, but he looked extremely fake, he insisted I asked for discount. After that he left & disappeared. I said I didn’t. He offered. What do you think an unhappy customer would say? We didn’t plan to complain. But my sister couldn’t overlook the uncooked seafood so she had to inform them because that’s food safety issues. And I couldn’t overlook the portion, uncooked seafood & the fact that the owner was extremely rude & condescending. He was trying to make a scene and embarrass us. Can come with friends, boyfriend, siblings, parents, family, cousin or any alone. A lots of choice for foods and drinks. All is delicious and waiting time not too longer. While eating can release your stress and enjoy every bites of your ordered foods. Very big places. Many parking too. Seafood is fresh and very nice. Seriously! Okay that's all. Can try to eat here, I came all the way from Mersing and suddenly drop to this restaurant, it's so surprised that they have this kind of foods as we're looking for asam pedas and satay celup. But late night already, so many of the restaurants already closed. They save our stomach from being hungry, I'm so happy that day. Plus when eating the foods also delicious. I'll come back again next time. Still have a lots of menu's that's I should try. If anyone looking for job also can apply to work here as they're looking for the staff. Salary offered and working time and the job scope of the job can ask them...
