It is often refered to Melacca siham, longkang siham when ask around or google search. To clarify the scenario, it is a backlane street, along the street there are 2 stalls selling almost the same variety of seafood. One is Tong Bee and the other one is Capitol. Look closely, you will noticed their stall name. Hope this can help to clear the doubt, especially for non local.
The one we always go for is Capitol and from "the wall of fame", it's not hard to tell why major TV show has been interviewing them as they are good and authentic.
They has been selling siham(fresh cockles) for many decades (since 1967) and now it is run by the 2nd generation - a young good looking and very friendly guy of 30s of age.
For first timer, just order a small plate of siham with normal cook and go with their special chili sauce with peanuts. If you can't take the normal one, ask for welldone, and if you feel adventureous go for raw(which is similar to steak, raw is about 30% cooked).
Capitol is one of the best place serving siham, it's fresh and the boss knows and very confidence in preparing them. If you always wanted to try siham for the first time, this is the place! We love siham very much, but we would NOT risk our stomach for other stalls.
There are many small dishes as well, squid with kangkong, clams, fried beancurd and lately added tomyam claypot. All are tasty and small portion for 2 of us to share. We will always order their barbecue squid as the last dish, it is very tasty(if you like squid) and we would love to chew and chew, it is simply delicious!
Thumbs up to the family running the business, we had brought our kids there and hope they can continue to serve good food for generations.

Read more1st timer: We arrived early n the attitude was like they r so popular, no need service. They said "u sit down first, later open we come take order, if not u have to queue!". We were puzzled how they remember who came first when there is no queue number, anyway gave them the benefit of the doubt. We asked if they sold drinks, and they said "No". I walked to the 7-Eleven shop to buy drinks while we waited. When the stall finally opened they asked us to order drinks! Like what the....anyway, they also did not take orders according to who came first (roll eyes). We ordered bamboo clams(came looking half cooked n super thin like a pc of chalk ), large cockles(came small, thumb size, abt 17pcs), Lala also maybe more than a dozen pcs, small, lady finger, all just boiled, nothing special. The Fruit Rojak, sauce was watery, Grilled cuttlefish, just, grilled lor.., nothing else. Unimpressive. Cheap RM 36 for 6 small dishes. It rained, we sat under the canvas canopy, but it was leaking all over... anyway, first n last, nothing worth mentioning. PS: Oyster omelet by another stall is also dry, the oysters very small, not very fresh, chilli super watery, not impressed Maybe the food quality drops once they become popular? Unsure, never tried before but this is...
