To begin, I would love to give 5 stars but then it will not be fair to my experience. I came here with my family on New year's Eve. Well as expected with no reservations, we had to queue. But what I want to highlight here is that Sharing Plates should have the policy "only full party will be seated" regardless if reservation or not. If have reservations, then at least 15min. We waited there for 30min and someone just sat and booked a 6 people space that could have easily sped up the waiting queue. So Sharing Plates, please be reasonable to other patrons as well.
Now let's go to the staff, hats off to them for a job well done in managing people and the food and getting all sorted. Staffs are friendly and approachable.
The food is yummy! I came across Sharing Plates via Grab when I tried their duck pasta and their signature salted gula melaka latte. So trying out their food was exciting. I For drinks, I took their Barista Selection, told them I like the Signature Salted Gula Melaka but want it stronger, and they are able to make it. Soo good!! Then their 54% Hot Chocolate was really good. The extra chocolate flakes gives a delightful and delicious taste while drinking.
For food we tried the Crab Meat pasta and Wild Mushroom pasta. Sadly the lamb stew was not available. Okay, so here is the thing, the Crab Meat pasta was supposed to be spicy and it was not. Quite disappointing cause we were looking forward to a spicy dish. The Crab Meat was so so cause it's missing some element of tangy sourness. That would have made it awesome with spicy. Mushroom pasta was great as well. The kids love it.
The pancakes was amazing!! The cakes were fluffy and the salted egg yoke in it was just deliciously paired with the ice cream. The espresso pancake was awesome as well, a note to all, don't pour all the espresso then it becomes affogato pancake. Haha!
A note before I leave, great food, great place, great people. Maybe have kids meal menu as well. Or kids friendly food like fried rice that...

Read moreUpdated Been here many times. Surprisingly below mediocre food today. Only the mushroom soup was tasty. The 3 pastas and big breakfast were not. The carbonara looks like a soup.
Dear owner, Thank you for your prompt response. Yes, we did inform your staff who merely nodded and walked away. Please see Maggie Lee's review from 4 months ago. This was the same response given by the staff when she had highlighted the poor quality. Is this nodding and walking away to criticism company policy? We even asked if this is a new cook (I refrain from using the term 'chef') Please be reminded that leaving a review is a customer's prerogative and not obligation. We frequented your establishment in the past because it was convenient. The food was neither exceptionally good nor bad (on those occasions) hence did not warrant a review. I have frequented Daily Fix and when I did receive below par food have reached out directly to you to inform and refrained from giving it a negative review. However on this occasion at Sharing Plates almost all the dishes were bad hence the one star. A quick Google image search for 'Carbornara' will show that none of the images appear like the soupy carbonara dish that you served us. Please take this review as a small reminder that maybe certain aspects need some improvements as may be the case with any long standing establishment.
Or please feel free to ignore it as there is an abundance of similar cafes in town such as Grounded 22 in Kota Laksamana , Aaagain near Jonker and the famous Locahouz.
Update Finishing one's food is merely a reflection of not wanting to waste food. Please don't mistakenly take it as a compliment. Thank you for your detailed polite response and your best wishes. Take care. "Hope you have...
