Always walked pass Pauline's and wanted to try, but didn't because of the constant dine in crowds and the long queues to get in. This time round we arrived at First World in the wee hours and managed to so, shortly after 6.30am. Being our first time dining here, we were unsure what to order, but the Shift OIC / Supervisor Ms. Yee Wan was very patient and helpful during our ordering process. We ended up ordering the following for breakfast: Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow with duck egg, Curry Fish Ball, and Loh Bak with complementary hot white coffee and Kopi Ice. Nasi Lemak - Adequately flavourful with good sambal with just the right balance of sweetness and Spicy level Char Koay Teow - Adequately flavourful with duck egg, surprisingly it was served with a side of chicken rendang which was flavourful. Curry Fish ball - surprisingly flavourful and fragrant curry gravy. Loh Bak - Crispy exterior skin with adequately textured, moist, flavourful interior. Hot White coffee - Adequate and they were willing to customise my order. Kopi Ice - Good consistency, with strong coffee flavour. All the above for the price of RM 44.60, very affordable dining option, by Genting standards. Update: Was there for a late supper at 11.30 pm after our Casino session. Ordered the following: Penang Hokkien Mee - Mee and Beehoon in a very flavorful prawn broth with fish balls, hard boiled egg. and prawns. Surprisingly good and slightly spicy due to the accompanying sambal. Oriental Chicken Chop - Huge portion of breaded chicken breast meat topped with an undiscernable sauce accompanied with potato wedges topped with a cheese sauce, french fries, cole slaw, sliced tomato and lettuce. Very filling and the Chicken was done just right. Complimentary drinks of Kopi Ice and Milo Ice. Takeaway: Pork burger with complimentary Milo Ice. Pork patty, sunny side egg, cheese slice in a soft burger bun, with sides of potato wedges topped with cheese sauce and french fries packed in a plastic container with cover. Ordered late dinner takeaway consisting of: Signature Four-Flavored Rice - Rice containing rice, chicken chop, fried chicken drumlet, braised belly pork with accompanying braised pork belly gravy. Roasted pork fried rice.consisting of fried rice with pieces of roasted pork and pork belly, chicken rendang, 1 piece loh bak, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Complimentary drinks of Kopi Ice and Beauty Snow Jelly drink. Overall the dinner Takeaway was filling, flavourful and reasonably priced for 2 at RM 27.80. All items were packed in proper plastic takeaway containers with utensils. Updated August 2024 - Slight changes from my last visit 10 months ago. Used to open for business at 6.30 am now it's 7.00 am. Composition of certain dishes in regard to accompanying sides have changed like the Roasted Pork Fried Rice, with new Menu additions like Penang Bak Kut Teh and absences of some dishes like Signature Four- Flavoured Rice (may still be on the menu, and I didn't notice LOL). Still a popular outlet for reasonably priced breakfast to late supper meals. Updated: August 2025. Came to our usual F&B outlet when we're staying at FWH Tower 3 and noticed they have expanded their dining area since the last time we were here. On this occasion we came here for breakfast and ordered the following: Signature Four-Flavoured Rice, Sweet & Hot fish Rice, Loh Bak (6pcs), Hot White, Coffee, Kopi Ice (both beverages were complementary with our orders for main dishes) and Layer Cake Original (promitional item) to be collected later in the day.

SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR BETTER FOOD & SERVICE. Unless you really have NO choice, or just like terrible service & even worse tasting food, just avoid coming to eat here. It's pricey too. SAME AS YOU I was fooled by the queue & decent looking atmosphere design etc... I feel so bad for the bad publicity for Penang Cuisine!! I LOVE Penang Cuisine so even subpar quality back in SG would make me happy but this omg... I was so shocked how bad the food tasted that I doubted I was in Malaysia, the land of awesome yummy food?! The rice was weird like it was old reheated rice, the sauce is even weirder coz it has no taste?!?! Yes I was very confused. The eggs was definitely also old, reheated many times where the yolk was powdery, eggwhite rubbery. Thought the Western is better? Nope. How they managed to get pepper sauce gravy with no pepper smell or taste is beyond me. This takes skill I must admit. It was gelatinous is all I can say. On a hot plate, this dish was served cold. To be fair, the egg that was freshly cooked was decent, if they could screw this up though... speechless. Fishballs were also OK thank goodness, same as the egg, since it's not freshly made there and packet bought then heated up, it was OK. The noodles only had an alkaline taste if you know what I mean & it was at some sections too hard like undercooked & at some sections mushy soft like overcooked - HOW????? Don't be scammed by the pieces of meat either, it's actually 80% brown flour tasting gravy covered BONES. ROFL. Food aside, the cashier screwed up my order even after confirming with me my order! T-T then they had the audacity to ask me to top up money after going back and forth multiple times to check my order. I was like ok I topped up & they still made me wait soooooo long for my food to be served - mix ups included. Through the entire time, not 1 staff was apologetic in tone or manner at all. Mostly they tried their hardest to avoid me when I was already being nice about it. Never again. What a painful experience. Went off to eat Marry Brown which was cheaper & so much more yummy & filling.

This trip started off very pleasantly, as my parents had tried this place before and recommended it to my spouse and me. The setup is impressive, offering a wide range of fusion cuisine, from Western dishes like chicken cutlet and spaghetti to Malaysian native favorites such as mee goreng, nasi lemak, and Chee Cheong fun. However, the downside came when we tasted a sour and unpleasant flavor in the ginseng soup. When we voiced our concerns to the staff, they told us that it was supposed to taste that way and that no one else had complained. This response clearly reflects poor customer service. Just because no one else has complained does not mean the taste is not off. It was rude of them to dismiss our concerns as if we were the problem, and to fail to address our negative experience made us feel undervalued as customers.
