Uncle Don's (Kuantan) — Restaurant in Pahang

Experience at Uncle Don Kuantan is really really bad. Ordered nachos, pizza, lemon ginger hot drink , spaghetti bolognese , chilli cheese fries (vegetarian, substitute the chicken with cheese ) Waitress came back and said nachos were no more, need to wait 1.5 hrs for pizza, no more spaghetti bolognese, and no lemon ginger drink. Saw my bill i was charged for cheese substitute i requested. Asked the waitress “why was i charged for cheese, I’m paying the same price its just i want the chicken to be substituted with cheese since I'm still paying the price of the chicken anyway” ( mind you the waiters at Uncle Dons in Kl will openly suggest substitute the chicken with cheese with no additional charge ), she said “ no it cant be done”. I said “okay then remove the cheese request”, she said “ no cannot, already key into the system”. Ordered a iced latte and seriously tasted like plain ice water. I ordered take away today, knowing that the restaurant may be packed. Had to wait 1.5 hours for our food despite having ordered a couple of hours earlier. While it was obviously stressful for the staff to manage the crowd, I have to say that the staff at the counter that attended to me was very reassuring and polite. I kept my cool and waited patiently. What made the environment hostile was the rude and vulgar chef who was cursing and swearing in the kitchen. What a horrible dining experience for those who brought their mums there to celebrate the day. He may have gotten angry due to overwhelming orders but that's no way to treat your own colleagues. Extremely unpleasant dining experience. Waited for almost 2 hours. Wiped the dirty table ourselves and took the menu and cutlery ourselves. Waiters and waitresses just didn't come after calling for several times.

One order came then had to wait for another 1 hour for another order. Then waited for ages for another order.

Nevertheless the staff's attitude was commendable. They did apologize for the inconveniences.

It's about poor management of the restaurant. If you are short staffed and can't cater to certain amount of customers, please just tell the customers it's full so that we can go to...
