Moved from the kopitiam just across the road named Xin Di Fang, now renamed Lee's Kitchen because of their famous desserts. This bigger new kopitiam features a larger area but oddly designed and situated at a busy foodie area surrounded by lots of other eateries, so parking can be a big problem. Mediocre kopi cost RM1.80 (2020) and pair it with 16 other food stalls selling various rice & noodles. Desserts cost from RM2.60 to RM4.50 but the price board never specifically list which cost what. A bowl of 芝麻糊/花生糊 cost you RM2.80 which is what I've ordered. With so many food stalls here also causes a big problem, ventilation. It's HOT here even with 2 big cool air blower and lots of sealing fan. Smell can also be a problem as there's a food stall that sells deep frying food and you can smell the burning oil and smoking...

Lee Kitchen (李太糖水) restaurant evidently had expanded its business by crossing over Tokong Road from Xin Di Fang restaurant (新地方) to occupy a new strategic corner lot. The area the restaurant occupies now is certainly spacious and sort of a unique triangular shape. Lee Kitchen serves primarily Chinese street food for breakfast and lunch. Did I say spacious? Not anymore if there are over 16 food stalls operating there. The restaurant as a result becomes quite cramped and not that airy. But the variety of food available is fantastic. You have chicken + char siu rice, vegetarian food, curry noodles, duck-egg fried noodles, clay-pot noodles, laksa, pan mee, Jawa mee, dim sum, etc. Much choice for the good quality thong sui desserts if you don't...

I cannot read chinese so i cannot name the stall that i had my noodle dish. I actually do not even know what it is called as i ordered by pointing at a picture that was on display. I was a little hesitant but the newspaper cutouts pasted on the stall window always did the trick 😂

The food was epic. Absolutely delicious. The flavours seemed familiar, almost nostalgic. I have tried this before but must have been atleast 20 years ago. Now i am curious to try all their other dishes, perhaps it'll take me back on another short trip to the past. Highly recommend that you try it yourself, it is RM 8 which some might think is expensive. I say it was...

bad experience with staff and manager. The staff keep asking us to move to yield table for incoming customer although we have the numbers for few tables. Very persistent until become argument and raised up voice. Even the shop boss doesn't even care whether we are their customer. Never come back again no matter how delicious their food is. The boss doesn't even say sorry. Too arrogant. It's ok.. business too good.. till fundamental courtesy apparently lost
