My childhood memory! This restaurant has been around for more than 30 years. I only had light breakfast so only ordered lei cha and char keow teow. By 11am, popiah was already sold out (it was a holiday). Be sure to go early if you want a taste of the famous popiah. Spent RM6 each on both the dishes.

Hakka Lei Cha 5/5. Very concentrated broth, great flavour. Portion is just nice.

CKT 4/5 Good taste of pork lard though I don't see the chunks there. No lap cheong. Just some small shrimps and taugeh. Wok hei is not prominent. Overall still pretty decent. Won't say that it's the most value for money order but almost every table can be seen with CKT so that's some credibility there.

Cleanliness 3/5. The new section at the back is quite nice and clean. The front area is so so. You can find a wash basin at the back dining area.

Definitely worth a visit if you...

Okay la. Aside from the fried kuay teow, which was decent, but not fantastic (fried with chilli to give it more taste, otherwise quite bland...no lap cheong (Chinese fried sausages), and the popiah (vegetable rolls), which was fresh and tasty, the wan tan mee tasted lousy for my mother. She said the noodles weren't the proper type and the soup was salty, but had little taste.

The soy bean drink was sweet, even with less sugar but contained very little soy beans, thus there wasn't much authenticity to it. This coffee shop definitely has room for much improvement, if it wants to attract more clientele. :(

2022/12/29 There's a new stall here selling Lei Cha. Lei Cha with rice, or noodles. Very good at RM 6.00. highly recommended.

2022/04/09 CKT has improved. They have changed the type of bean sprouts used, no longer bitter.

Curry Vegetarian Noodles has always been the item to go for here. This item is served only on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

I seemed to have without failing ordered Lemon Tea with no sugar every time. Char Keuy Teow would be above average, too much been sprouts might run taste.

Char Siu Wonton Noodles was average the last time I tried.

Overall, definitely...
